Bottega VenetaIntrecciato Capri Medium Tote Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Capri Medium Tote Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 40 x 26 x 14 cm, this medium tote is well suited to daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, sunglasses case, keys, a cosmetics pouch, and a tablet or diary. It can also accommodate A4-sized papers. If you plan to carry bulkier items, please refer to the Measurements in the product information for the best guide to capacity.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The handle drop is approximately 19 cm, which generally allows for comfortable shoulder carry for many users, while still working well in hand. As this model does not list a strap, it is best considered a top-handle and shoulder tote rather than a crossbody style.

Q: Does this bag come with a shoulder strap or any extra accessories?
A: No shoulder strap is listed for this item. The included product information notes one accessory: a key. If any other accessory such as a dust bag, lock, box, or authenticity card is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: This item is listed in good condition. Externally, there is corner wear and handle wear. Internally, there are light traces of use and small marks on the bottom. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches and some tarnishing. These notes are the most accurate description of this specific piece.

Q: Is this a practical everyday tote size?
A: Yes, the Capri Medium Tote is a practical everyday size for essentials and light daily carry. Its tote shape and medium proportions make it suitable for work, city use, shopping, or casual day wear. If you prefer to carry larger laptops or heavier items regularly, comparing your own items with the listed measurements is recommended.

Q: How should I care for Bottega Veneta Intrecciato leather?
A: Intrecciato woven leather should be handled gently and stored with care. Avoid overfilling the bag, prolonged exposure to moisture, direct sunlight, heat, perfumes, oils, and abrasive surfaces. To maintain the shape, store it lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag and wipe it only with a soft, dry or very lightly damp cloth when needed.

Q: Does a white Intrecciato bag need extra care?
A: Yes. White leather can show colour transfer, marks, and corner wear more easily than darker shades, especially from denim or dark clothing. It is best to avoid friction against strongly dyed fabrics and to clean surface marks promptly and gently. Extra care with storage and everyday handling will help preserve the appearance.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the product information, this bag was made in Italy, which is consistent with Bottega Veneta’s long-standing leather craftsmanship tradition.

Q: Can woven Bottega Veneta bags be repaired or refreshed?
A: In many cases, yes. Bottega Veneta offers aftercare support for certain products, and woven leather bags can also sometimes be professionally restored by specialists, depending on the issue and the construction of the bag. For older or pre-owned pieces, repair options may vary, so it is always best to have the bag assessed before any work is carried out.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by experts using detailed checks of craftsmanship, materials, weave quality, hardware, stamps, and other brand-specific details. We stand behind the authenticity of the items we sell, and you are welcome to contact us if you would like more information about the authentication process for this piece.
