Q: What is the BVLGARI Bulgari Bulgari 20mm Ref. BBL26S?
A: It’s a Swiss‑made ladies’ quartz wristwatch from BVLGARI’s iconic Bulgari Bulgari line, featuring a refined 20mm stainless steel case, matching steel bracelet, and a white mother‑of‑pearl dial set with diamond accents. This example comes as a full set with original box and certificates.

Q: What movement and battery does it use, and how long will the battery last?
A: The watch uses a Swiss quartz movement. Many similar BVLGARI quartz models take a standard 1.55V silver‑oxide button cell (often a 377/SR626SW or equivalent), but please have a watchmaker confirm the exact cell for this reference. Typical battery life is around 2–3 years depending on use and storage.

Q: Is it water‑resistant and can I swim or shower with it?
A: Water resistance on vintage watches cannot be guaranteed without recent servicing and pressure testing. Treat it as splash‑resistant at best and avoid swimming, showering, or submersion. If occasional light moisture resistance is desired, have the gaskets checked and replaced by an authorised watchmaker and ensure the crown is fully pressed in.

Q: Will it fit my wrist, and can the bracelet be resized?
A: The bracelet fits wrists up to approximately 16.25cm. Resizing is typically done by adding or removing links; additional links can sometimes be sourced subject to availability and cost. Share your wrist measurement and we’ll advise on sizing options before shipping.

Q: How do I set the time on this quartz model?
A: Gently pull the crown out to its setting position and rotate it to set the time. Push the crown back in to start the movement and help maintain moisture resistance. Avoid pulling or turning the crown while the watch is wet.

Q: What materials and dial features does it have, and does it use a sapphire crystal?
A: It has a stainless steel case and bracelet, with a white mother‑of‑pearl dial accented by diamonds. Many Bulgari Bulgari models of this era feature a scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal, though specifics can vary—contact us if you’d like us to confirm the crystal type on this piece.

Q: How should I clean and care for the mother‑of‑pearl and diamond dial and the steel bracelet?
A: Wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and strong chemicals. Keep perfumes, solvents and excessive moisture away from the mother‑of‑pearl and diamond dial. Store the watch in its box when not in use and keep it away from strong magnets and extreme temperatures.

Q: How often should a quartz BVLGARI watch be serviced?
A: Quartz watches generally need a battery change every 1–3 years. A full service is only necessary if you notice issues (e.g., erratic timekeeping, moisture, or condensation). Gaskets can be replaced periodically if moisture resistance is important to you—always use a qualified watchmaker familiar with luxury vintage pieces.

Q: What is included and how do you guarantee authenticity?
A: This watch is delivered as a full set with box, certificate and outer box. A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage accessories and thoroughly inspects and authenticates every item. We also provide a 12‑month mechanical guarantee for added peace of mind.

Q: Why does the reference read BBL26S if the case is listed as 20mm?
A: BVLGARI’s reference codes don’t always match the exact case measurement. Our listing reflects the measured case dimension of approximately 20mm. If you’d like, we can provide precise caliper measurements and additional photos to verify sizing before purchase.
