ChanelClassic Medium Caviar Double Flap Bag

Q: What are the dimensions of this Chanel Classic Medium Caviar Double Flap Bag?
A: This bag measures 26 cm wide × 16 cm high × 7 cm deep. The listed strap drops are 24/43 cm, and the handle drop is 23 cm.

Q: What typically fits inside the Medium Classic Double Flap?
A: It generally accommodates a mobile phone, a compact wallet or cardholder, keys and a lipstick or a few small essentials. The inner flap takes up some interior space, so bulky wallets and hard sunglasses cases may restrict what else fits. Capacity depends on your belongings; avoid overfilling the bag.

Q: Can I wear this bag on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: The interwoven chain and leather strap can be doubled for shorter shoulder wear or extended for a longer shoulder style. Crossbody wear may suit some smaller torsos, but the bag can sit high and is not a guaranteed crossbody fit. Compare the listed 24/43 cm strap drops with a bag you already own before purchasing.

Q: What is caviar leather, and how does it compare with lambskin?
A: Caviar is the name commonly used for Chanel's pebbled, grained calfskin. Its textured surface generally shows scratches less readily than smooth lambskin, making it a practical option for regular use. It still needs careful handling and protection from moisture, particularly around the corners and hardware.

Q: What does double flap mean?
A: This design has an outer flap and a second inner flap covering the main compartment. The inner flap adds another layer over your belongings and contributes to the structured design, while reducing the available interior space. This bag also has burgundy leather lining with internal pockets and a CC turn-lock closure.

Q: What condition is this particular bag in?
A: This pre-owned bag is in Very Good Condition. The exterior has minor signs of wear on the corners, the interior shows light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Review the product photographs alongside these details to assess whether the condition meets your expectations.

Q: Does this bag come with a box, dust bag or authenticity card?
A: The product information lists a serial number tag. A box, dust bag and authenticity card are not listed, so please do not assume they are included. Contact A Retro Tale if you need confirmation before purchasing.

Q: Has this bag been authenticated, and what year is it from?
A: According to the product information, A Retro Tale's experts, who have over 10 years of experience in vintage and luxury bags, have checked and verified its authenticity. The listed serial number is 27******, and the product information dates the bag to 2019.

Q: What colour and hardware does this bag have, and where was it made?
A: This bag has black quilted caviar leather, silver-tone hardware and burgundy leather lining. Its country-of-origin label indicates that it was made in Italy.

Q: How should I clean and store this bag?
A: Gently wipe it with a soft cloth and avoid care products that could alter the leather's finish. Protect it from prolonged sunlight and moisture. If it gets wet, gently blot it with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth without rubbing. Store it upright in a suitable storage pouch, with tissue paper covering the chain to prevent contact marks. A storage pouch is not listed as included with this item. For stains or repairs, seek specialist advice.
