Q: Is this bracelet adjustable and what wrist size will it fit?
A: This is an open cuff with an inner perimeter of approximately 15.5 cm and a width of 1 cm. The opening allows a small, one‑time tweak for comfort, but repeated bending is not recommended. For the best fit, measure your wrist snugly just above the wrist bone and choose a size close to 15.5 cm.

Q: How should I put on and adjust an open cuff without damaging it?
A: Slide the opening over the soft side of your wrist and rotate into place rather than pulling the ends apart. If a minor adjustment is needed, warm the bracelet on your wrist and make a gentle squeeze once. Avoid flexing back and forth to protect the plating, leather weave and rhinestone settings.

Q: What materials are used in this piece?
A: The bracelet features gold‑toned hardware with black leather woven through the chain, rhinestone embellishments and a central CC logo. As with most Chanel costume jewellery, the metal is gold‑tone plated rather than solid gold.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower or get it wet?
A: No. Keep the bracelet away from water, humidity, lotions and perfume to preserve the plating, leather and crystals. Put jewellery on last and remove it first. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear.

Q: How do I clean the rhinestones and leather safely?
A: For rhinestones, use a dry, lint‑free cloth or a barely damp cotton bud to lift surface marks; never soak, steam or use ultrasonic cleaners. For the leather, gently buff with a dry cloth only and avoid conditioners or oils that could darken or loosen the weave.

Q: How should I store this bracelet?
A: Store it separately in a soft pouch or box, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid standard plastic bags unless they are specifically anti‑tarnish, and keep it from rubbing against other metal pieces.

Q: Is this bracelet nickel‑free or hypoallergenic?
A: Chanel does not publish full material compositions for costume jewellery, so we cannot guarantee this piece is nickel‑free. If you have sensitivities, limit prolonged skin contact, wear it over a thin sleeve, or opt for precious‑metal pieces.

Q: How is authenticity verified?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is authenticated by our in‑house experts. Chanel costume bracelets typically feature a signature plaque or stamp with CHANEL and the country of origin; many later pieces also include season codes. Stamp style and placement vary by era and model, and we assess these details alongside materials and construction.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under Accessories on this page. For this bracelet, no accessories are included.

Q: Can Chanel replace missing stones or re‑plate this vintage piece?
A: After‑sales support for vintage costume jewellery is at the brand’s discretion and varies by region and item age. You may enquire at a Chanel boutique for current options, or consult a trusted jeweller experienced with vintage costume pieces.
