Q: What can this bag hold day to day?
A: With approximate measurements of 26 × 17 × 7 cm, it comfortably fits a large smartphone, compact wallet, keys, lipstick, and sunglasses in a slim case. Slim tech like a Kindle or a small diary can also fit, but bulkier bottles or full-size tablets are not recommended.

Q: Can the chain be worn in different ways?
A: Yes. The chain can be doubled for an approximate 22 cm drop for a close-shoulder carry, or worn as a single chain for an approximate 40 cm drop. On most users it is a shoulder bag rather than a true crossbody.

Q: How does the bamboo turn-lock work and is it durable?
A: Rotate the bamboo piece to open and close the flap. The bamboo is a natural material, heated and shaped for strength. Avoid twisting with force, overfilling the bag, or knocking the clasp to keep it secure and in good condition.

Q: Is the bamboo real bamboo?
A: Gucci’s Bamboo line traditionally uses genuine bamboo that is shaped and finished for durability and its signature look. Natural variations are normal and part of its charm.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Please refer to the product information on this page for what is included. For this piece, a dust bag is included.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: It is in good pre-owned condition. The leather around the bamboo clasp shows scuffing and peeling; the interior has light signs of use and a vintage smell. Hardware is shiny with light scratches. Please review the photos for full details.

Q: How should I care for the studded leather, bamboo clasp, and hardware?
A: Wipe leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately; avoid harsh cleaners and prolonged sun or moisture. For bamboo, use a dry microfibre cloth only and avoid oils or alcohol-based products. For silver-tone hardware, gently buff with a clean cloth. Store lightly stuffed in its dust bag, away from heat and humidity.

Q: Will the studs snag clothing?
A: The studs are smooth, but as with any embellished surface, we recommend care around delicate fabrics such as fine knits or silk to avoid friction.

Q: Does it have a serial number and where would it be?
A: Many Gucci bags have a leather tab inside with a heat-stamped number. On vintage pieces this can be faint or missing. The serial number is not listed for this item; if you would like us to check for a stamp, please contact our team.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly authenticated by our in-house experts using multi-point checks of materials, stitching, stamps, hardware, and construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to provide additional photos or details on request.
