GucciGG Horsebit Sherry Line Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Gucci GG Horsebit Sherry Line Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 31 x 19 x 12 cm, it is best suited to everyday essentials such as a phone, long wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other compact items. It is not designed for a laptop or bulky daily carry. Please refer to the measurements on this page for the best guide to size.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This style features dual rolled leather handles with an approximate drop of 24.5 cm, so it will usually sit comfortably on the shoulder or in the crook of the arm. It does not include a separate detachable shoulder strap.

Q: What are the signature details of this bag?
A: This piece combines several classic Gucci design codes: dark brown GG canvas, black leather trim, the red and green Web detail, and gold-tone Horsebit hardware. Together, these elements give it a distinctly vintage Gucci look.

Q: Does the bag close securely and have any inner pockets?
A: Yes. It features a top zip closure for secure everyday use, a black fabric lining, and one internal zip pocket for smaller essentials you want to keep organised.

Q: What condition should I expect from this item?
A: This bag is listed in very good vintage condition. The exterior shows scuffing on the leather corners and small holes on the back. Inside, there are light signs of use and some marks. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches and some discolouration. As with most vintage pieces, gentle signs of age are part of its character.

Q: Is this a good everyday bag?
A: Yes, it works well as a smart everyday bag for essentials and day-to-evening use. That said, it is a vintage canvas-and-leather style, so it is best treated with care and not overfilled if you want to preserve its shape and finish.

Q: How should I care for vintage GG canvas and leather?
A: For regular care, wipe the canvas and leather gently with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth, and dry it promptly if it gets wet. Store it lightly stuffed to help maintain the shape, and keep it away from prolonged direct light, heat and humidity. For deeper cleaning, corner wear or structural repairs, professional handbag care is the safest option.

Q: Is the bag authentic, and is anything else included with it?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is authenticated by in-house experts. This listing states that no additional items are included, so the bag should be expected as shown in the listing unless otherwise noted.
