Q: What fits inside the Hermès City Card Holder?
A: This is a slim card holder designed for daily essentials rather than a full wallet load. It is best suited to a few cards, and any extra items should be kept minimal to preserve its shape.

Q: Will it fit easily in a pocket or a small bag?
A: Yes. With approximate measurements of 10 x 6.5 x 1 cm, it has a compact profile that slips neatly into most coat or trouser pockets as well as smaller handbags.

Q: Can it hold folded notes or business cards too?
A: It can hold a small amount of folded cash or a few slim business cards, but it is primarily intended for cards. Overfilling may make it bulkier and can put unnecessary strain on the leather over time.

Q: Does this card holder have a coin section or zip closure?
A: No. This style is a minimalist open card holder and is not designed with a zipped coin compartment, press-stud closure, or full wallet interior.

Q: What does the serial number C (2018) mean?
A: The stamp indicates the piece dates to 2018. On Hermès leather goods, the blind stamp is one of the key reference points used when identifying the production year.

Q: What is the condition of this item?
A: This piece is listed in Very Good condition, with light traces of use noted on both the exterior and interior. That means it has been gently used but remains well presented for continued everyday wear.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This piece comes with a box. If you would like confirmation of everything included, the product information on this page is the best reference.

Q: What colour is this card holder?
A: This example is finished in blue and cream leather, giving it a refined two-tone look. As with all online listings, the exact shade may appear slightly different depending on screen settings and lighting.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Hermès card holder?
A: Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and avoid overstuffing it. For day-to-day care, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it away from rough surfaces, oils, and heavy friction.

Q: How do you authenticate Hermès items?
A: At A Retro Tale, pre-owned luxury pieces are carefully vetted for authenticity by specialists who assess details such as materials, construction, stamps, and overall craftsmanship. The blind stamp and finishing details are important parts of that process.
