Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: Many buyers choose the Garden Party 36 because it can often be carried by hand, on the crook of the arm or on the shoulder. This item has dual rolled leather handles, but the under-arm fit can vary depending on your frame and what you are wearing.

Q: Does the Garden Party 36 close securely?
A: This item has a snap button closure. Like most Garden Party bags, it offers quick and easy access rather than a fully zipped top, so it works best for those who prefer an open tote style with light structure and everyday practicality.

Q: What material and interior does this particular bag have?
A: This example is crafted in orange grained leather with silver-tone hardware and a herringbone canvas lining. The grained leather finish is generally appreciated for everyday wear because it helps disguise minor scratches better than smoother finishes.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: This bag is rated Very Good Condition. Externally, it shows light traces of use with a few marks on the leather around the bag. Inside, there is a pen mark on the lining. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with all vintage and second-hand pieces, gentle signs of wear are normal and part of the character of the item.

Q: What does the serial stamp C (2018) mean?
A: The serial stamp indicates the production year of the bag. For this item, C corresponds to 2018. On Hermès bags, the blind stamp is one of several details used to identify the production period and support authentication.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: According to the product information, this item comes with a dust bag and box. If something is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Hermès leather bag like this?
A: To help preserve the leather, avoid prolonged exposure to rain, direct sunlight, heat, oils and very humid or very dry environments. Store it in a breathable dust bag, keep it lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape, and wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth after use. For specialist cleaning or repairs, professional leather care is recommended.

Q: How do you authenticate this Hermès bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by experts using a multi-point authentication process. For Hermès, this typically includes checking the leather quality, construction, stitching, hardware, stamps and overall consistency with the model and production period.
