HermèsTogo Kelly II Retourne 32 Noir Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Hermès Kelly 32 Retourne?
A: The Kelly 32 is considered a roomy, practical size for daily use. With approximate measurements of 31 × 23 × 12 cm, it can usually hold a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a compact pouch, and other everyday essentials. It is a better fit for day-to-day carrying than smaller Kelly sizes, though bulkier items may affect how neatly it closes.

Q: Is the Kelly 32 a good everyday size?
A: Yes, many collectors consider the Kelly 32 one of the most practical everyday Kelly sizes. It offers more capacity than the smaller 25 or 28 while still keeping the elegant Kelly silhouette. If you prefer structured but functional day bags, this size is often seen as an excellent balance between style and usability.

Q: What does Retourne mean on a Kelly bag?
A: Retourne refers to the softer construction of the bag. It is made inside-out and then turned, which gives it a more relaxed shape with rounder edges than the sharper, more rigid Sellier version. This makes the Kelly Retourne feel a little more casual and easier for everyday wear.

Q: What is Togo leather like?
A: Togo is one of Hermès’ most popular leathers because it is durable, lightly textured, and relatively resistant to visible scratches. It has a soft yet grained finish that helps the bag feel luxurious while still being practical. Over time, Togo can relax slightly, which suits the softer look of a Retourne construction very well.

Q: Can this bag be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes, this bag includes a shoulder strap in the product information, and the strap drop is approximately 41 cm. That generally makes it suitable for shoulder carry. Depending on your height and what you are wearing, the fit may vary, but it is not typically intended to be worn crossbody.

Q: What accessories are included with this bag?
A: According to the product information, this bag includes the box, dust bag, shoulder strap, clochette, padlock, key, and rain coat. If you would like to confirm any item before purchase, it is always best to review the product information carefully.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: This item is listed in excellent overall condition, with very good external and internal condition showing light trace of use. The hardware is described as shiny with light scratches. As with all pre-owned luxury bags, minor signs of wear are normal and part of its character.

Q: Does this bag have a visible serial or stamp number?
A: The serial number for this piece is noted as illegible in the product information. This can happen on vintage or pre-owned bags as stamps may soften with age and use.

Q: How should I care for a Hermès Togo Kelly bag?
A: Hermès leather should be protected from humidity, prolonged direct light, and excessive heat. For day-to-day care, handle it with clean hands, avoid overfilling, and store it in its dust bag when not in use. Lightly stuffing the interior can also help the bag maintain its shape. Avoid using unsuitable commercial leather products unless professionally advised.

Q: Is a black Kelly 32 a versatile choice?
A: Yes, black is one of the most timeless and versatile choices for a Kelly. In a 32 Retourne shape, it works especially well for both smart daywear and more polished occasions. The combination of a classic black shade, spacious size, and softer construction makes it a strong all-round option for a vintage Hermès collector.
