Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Eva Clutch Bag?
A: The Eva is a compact day-to-evening bag, so it is best for essentials rather than bulky items. With measurements of approximately 25 x 13 x 4 cm, it will usually fit a phone, card holder or small wallet, keys, lipstick, and a few small personal items. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Does this bag come with a strap?
A: Yes. According to the product information, this item includes a shoulder strap. If you would like to judge how it will sit when worn, please use the strap measurement provided on this page.

Q: Can the Eva be worn as a clutch as well as a shoulder bag?
A: Yes, the Eva is known for its versatile silhouette and is commonly carried either as a clutch or with a strap for hands-free wear. For this specific item, please rely on the product information for what is included with the bag.

Q: Is the Louis Vuitton Eva a discontinued model?
A: Yes, the Eva is a discontinued Louis Vuitton style, which is one reason it remains popular on the pre-owned market. Many shoppers seek it out for its slim shape, elegant look, and easy day-to-evening versatility.

Q: What does the code DU4088 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton codes of this format are generally used to indicate the place and time of production rather than serving as a unique serial number. DU4088 corresponds to production in France in the 48th week of 2008.

Q: What condition details should I know about this specific bag?
A: This bag is listed in good condition. The leather piping and trim show cracking and signs of wear, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. These details are reflected in the product information and should be reviewed carefully before purchase.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Louis Vuitton Eva?
A: Gently wipe the coated canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Take extra care with the leather trim, especially on a vintage piece showing wear, and keep the bag away from prolonged moisture, direct heat, and strong sunlight. Store it lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag to help maintain its shape.

Q: How do you authenticate a pre-owned Louis Vuitton bag like this?
A: Authentication should never rely on one detail alone. A proper review considers materials, construction, stitching, hardware, stamps, proportions, and the production code together. At A Retro Tale, pre-owned luxury items are professionally vetted for authenticity before being offered for sale.
