Saint LaurentBelt, size 100

Q: What does size 100 mean on this Saint Laurent YSL belt?
A: Saint Laurent belt sizing is typically measured from the end of the buckle to the centre hole. For a size 100 belt, that means the centre-hole measurement is 100 cm, or about 39.5 inches. It does not refer to the full tip-to-tip length of the belt.

Q: How do I check whether size 100 will fit me?
A: Measure around the exact place you plan to wear the belt, whether that is your natural waist, trouser waist or hips, and compare that number to 100 cm. If possible, compare it with a belt you already own and measure from the buckle to the hole you use most often.

Q: Which hole should the belt ideally fasten on?
A: For the best fit, a belt should usually fasten on or near the centre hole. That gives you a little room to tighten or loosen it depending on your outfit, the rise of your trousers, or how you prefer to wear it.

Q: Is 2.5 cm considered a slim belt?
A: Yes. At 2.5 cm wide, this is a slim belt with a refined look. It is a versatile width that usually works especially well with tailored trousers, skirts, dresses, and jeans or trousers with narrower belt loops.

Q: Can this belt be worn on the waist as well as the hips?
A: Yes, if the measurement works for you. The same belt can fit very differently depending on whether you wear it high on the waist, through trouser loops, or lower on the hips, so measuring the exact point where it will sit is the safest way to judge fit.

Q: What condition is this pre-owned belt in?
A: This piece is listed in Very Good condition, with light trace of use noted externally and internally. As with most pre-owned luxury pieces, you should expect gentle signs of prior wear rather than a like-new finish.

Q: What is included with this belt?
A: A dustbag is included. If a box, authenticity card, or any other items are not listed in the product information, they should not be expected with this piece.

Q: How should I care for and store a pre-owned Saint Laurent belt?
A: Store it in the dustbag when not in use, away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture. Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaning products, perfumes, or excessive bending, as these can affect the finish over time.

Q: Is this item authentic?
A: A Retro Tale specialises in authentic luxury vintage and second-hand designer pieces, and this Saint Laurent belt is sold as an authentic pre-owned item.
