Bottega VenetaVeneta Intrecciato Small Hobo Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Bottega Veneta Veneta Intrecciato Small Hobo Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 40 x 24 x 5 cm, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other slim necessities. It has a sleek profile, so bulky items and most laptops are unlikely to be a comfortable fit. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This style is designed as a hobo shoulder bag, and this piece has an approximate strap drop of 20 cm. It should sit comfortably on the shoulder for most buyers, especially with lighter layers.

Q: Does the bag close securely?
A: Yes. This bag features a top zip closure, which helps keep your belongings secure whilst maintaining the relaxed Veneta silhouette.

Q: What materials and details define this bag?
A: This piece is crafted in black Intrecciato leather with a single woven shoulder strap, suede lining and Italian manufacture. The Intrecciato woven finish is one of Bottega Veneta’s best-known signatures and a key reason the Veneta remains so sought after on the pre-owned market.

Q: How should I care for vintage Intrecciato leather?
A: Handle it gently and avoid overfilling, as woven leather looks best when it keeps its soft shape without excessive strain. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, keep it away from heavy rain, oils and prolonged direct sunlight, and store it loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag or cotton pillowcase when not in use.

Q: How can I check whether a vintage Bottega Veneta bag is authentic?
A: Key points include the quality and consistency of the weave, the softness and finish of the leather, the interior stamp, construction details and the overall craftsmanship. On older Bottega Veneta bags, the absence of a serial number alone does not automatically mean a bag is inauthentic, so authentication should always be based on the bag as a whole.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: It is listed in Very Good condition. The exterior shows scuffing and wear to the leather, the interior has stains, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. These details are reflected in the current price and should be reviewed alongside the photos.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: No additional accompanying items are included with this piece. Everything included is noted in the product information, and this item is listed as having no additional inclusions.

Q: Is the suede lining normal for a Veneta bag?
A: Yes. Suede lining is commonly seen on Veneta bags, and slight variations in lining tone or hardware finish can occur between production periods. For a pre-owned piece, what matters most is that the overall materials, workmanship and wear are consistent with an authentic vintage Bottega Veneta bag.
