Bottega VenetaMedium Intrecciato Hobo Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With its listed measurements of approximately 40 x 23 cm and a slim hobo silhouette, it is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses and a small pouch. It is not the best choice for bulky items.

Q: Will a laptop fit inside?
A: A slim tablet or small notebook may fit depending on size, but this style is not designed as a work bag. The narrow profile and zip-top opening make it less suitable for most laptops.

Q: Can it be worn on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This design has a single woven shoulder strap with an approximate strap drop of 23 cm, making it suitable for shoulder carry. It is not a crossbody style.

Q: How is the bag organised inside?
A: The bag has a brown suede lining with one internal pocket, giving you light organisation while keeping the relaxed hobo shape.

Q: Does it close securely?
A: Yes. This piece has a zip closure, which helps keep everyday essentials secure.

Q: What is Intrecciato leather?
A: Intrecciato is Bottega Veneta’s signature woven leather technique. It gives the bag its soft texture, understated look and recognisable craftsmanship.

Q: How should I care for vintage Intrecciato leather?
A: Handle it gently and avoid contact with liquids, oils, perfume, make-up, direct sunlight and rough surfaces. For day-to-day care, wipe lightly with a soft dry cloth and store it in a cool, dry place, ideally lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape.

Q: Will the leather soften or slouch over time?
A: Yes. Many Bottega Veneta hobo styles become softer and more relaxed with use, which is part of their appeal. Because this is a vintage piece, slight variations in shape and softness are normal.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This vintage piece is listed in good condition. The exterior shows scuffing on the corners and slight discolouration in some areas, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: Does this item come with any extras?
A: No additional items are listed with this piece. Please refer to the product information on this page for what is included.

Q: How is authenticity handled?
A: A Retro Tale states that all items are checked by its in-house experts before sale. If you would like extra reassurance, you can always request more product information before purchasing.
