CelineMedium Heloise Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Céline Medium Heloise?
A: With measurements of approximately 24 × 22 × 8 cm, it comfortably holds a large smartphone, compact wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick, slim sunglasses in a soft sleeve, and a small cosmetics pouch. An A5 notebook/diary usually fits, and a mini tablet can be fine. Continental (long) wallets and bulkier pouches can be a tight fit due to the zip opening. Please refer to the Measurements on this page or ask us for a tailored fit check for this exact piece.

Q: Will it fit a tablet or laptop?
A: Small tablets (e.g., iPad mini) typically fit. An 11-inch tablet may be a squeeze because of the curved zip opening and the bag’s depth; a 13-inch laptop does not fit. Compare your device’s dimensions with the Measurements listed or contact us for a quick fit check.

Q: Is the shoulder strap adjustable? Can I wear it crossbody?
A: This bag has a single adjustable shoulder strap with an approximate drop of 30 cm. It’s designed for shoulder carry; most wearers will find it sits comfortably under the arm and is not intended for true crossbody wear. We’ll list strap drop under Measurements—if you need more detail, just ask and we’ll confirm for you.

Q: How secure is the closure and what is the interior layout?
A: The Heloise features a zip‑top main compartment, offering good everyday security. Interior layouts can vary by era (e.g., presence and placement of slip or zip pockets). Our listing photos show the exact configuration of this piece—feel free to request additional close‑ups.

Q: What materials and hardware does this piece have, and where is it made?
A: This item is crafted from black grained leather with gold‑tone hardware, a tonal lining and a zip‑top closure. It is stamped Made in Italy. The photos and description on this page show the precise finish and details.

Q: How should I care for the grained leather and hardware?
A: Keep leather away from moisture, oils and prolonged sunlight, and be mindful of colour transfer from dark denim (especially on lighter leathers—this one is black but care still applies). Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth; use a high‑quality neutral leather conditioner very sparingly and test first on a discreet area. Store the bag lightly stuffed, upright, in a breathable dust bag. To minimise strap imprints, place a soft cloth between the strap and leather during storage. Hardware can develop hairline scratches with normal use—avoid abrasive surfaces and rubbing during storage.

Q: Where are the brand markings and codes located, and how is dating handled?
A: Authentic Céline bags typically feature a “CELINE Paris” heat stamp and a country‑of‑origin mark (often Italy). Many vintage/older models include an internal serial or production code, usually embossed on a leather tab or along a seam; placement and format vary by era. We’re happy to share close‑up photos and help interpret markings for this exact piece.

Q: Is the Heloise still produced?
A: The Heloise is a discontinued Céline style and considered vintage. The pre‑loved market is the best way to find specific sizes and finishes like this Medium in black grained leather.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: This piece is in Excellent condition overall with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are Excellent, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. Please review our photos for a detailed view.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate?
A: Included items are listed under “Accessories.” For this piece, we note a dust bag. Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes rigorous, multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps/serial code and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.
