Q: What typically fits inside the Chanel CC Small Camera Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions 18 × 12 × 5 cm, it comfortably holds a standard smartphone, a compact wallet or cardholder, keys, lipstick, and other small daily essentials. Slim packing is recommended to preserve the quilting and shape; bulky items may strain the zip and corners.

Q: Is the strap adjustable and can I wear it crossbody?
A: The interwoven chain‑and‑leather strap is not adjustable. With an approximate drop of 52 cm, it wears as a long shoulder bag on most frames and as a high crossbody on many. Strap drop is measured from the top of the strap to the top of the bag.

Q: What features and pockets does this model have?
A: It has a top zip closure with the signature leather tassel, an exterior slip pocket with an embossed CC logo for quick‑access items, and a beige leather‑lined interior with one zipped pocket.

Q: Is the tassel original and is it detachable?
A: The tassel is an original design feature of Chanel’s vintage camera bags and is attached to the zip pull. It is not designed to be detached.

Q: When was this bag made?
A: The serial number 1976358 begins with a 1 and has seven digits, indicating production in the 1989–1991 period. This aligns with the vintage details and components of the piece.

Q: Is the hardware 24k gold‑plated?
A: Many Chanel bags made before late 2008 were produced with 24k gold‑plated hardware. As a vintage piece from the early 1990s, this model is from that era; however, we describe this specific bag’s hardware as gold‑tone with light scratches based on our inspection.

Q: How should I care for beige lambskin leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid chemical cleaners. Keep away from prolonged sunlight, heat, and humidity. Store upright in a breathable pouch with the chain wrapped to prevent imprints, and avoid overfilling to maintain the quilting.

Q: How can I reduce the risk of colour transfer on light leather?
A: Light lambskin is prone to absorbing dyes from dark clothing, especially denim. Minimise rubbing against dark textiles, particularly when new or damp, and consider protective layers between the bag and clothing. If transfer occurs, consult a professional leather specialist.

Q: What accessories are included and how do you authenticate it?
A: This item comes with its authenticity card and serial number tag, as listed. Every piece at A Retro Tale undergoes multi‑point authentication by our in‑house experts before listing; contact us if you would like additional photos or details.
