ChanelLambskin Wallet on Chain Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Chanel Wallet on Chain?
A: This medium Wallet on Chain is best for essentials. With measurements of approximately 19 x 12 x 3.5 cm, it will usually fit a phone, cards, folded notes, keys, and a lipstick or other small beauty item. Because the style is slim and already has wallet-style organisation inside, bulkier purses or larger daily items may not fit comfortably.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: Yes. The woven leather and chain strap has an approximate drop of 63 cm, so it is designed for shoulder or crossbody wear on many people. As the strap is not adjustable, where it sits will depend on your height and preferred styling.

Q: Will a large phone fit?
A: Most standard smartphones should fit, but very large models or phones in chunky cases can be a tighter squeeze in a Wallet on Chain. If you carry a larger handset, compare it with the listed width and height before purchasing.

Q: Is lambskin leather delicate?
A: Lambskin is prized for its soft, smooth feel and luxurious finish, but it is generally more prone to scratches and corner wear than grained leathers. This is normal for the material. This particular piece remains in very good condition, with minor wear on the corners and light traces of use inside.

Q: What is the condition of this item?
A: The exterior is rated very good with minor corner wear. The interior is also very good with light traces of use, and the silver-tone hardware remains shiny with light scratches. These signs are consistent with careful prior wear.

Q: What product information is included with this bag?
A: This item comes with its box, authenticity card, serial number, and booklet. Everything included with the purchase is listed in the product information for this item.

Q: How do you authenticate Chanel bags like this one?
A: A Retro Tale states that every item is checked for authenticity by experts. For Chanel pieces, this typically includes reviewing leather quality, stitching, hardware, interior details, stamps, and serial details. This bag is sold with serial number 25891901 and an authenticity card.

Q: Can the strap be tucked in to carry it as a clutch?
A: Many Wallet on Chain styles can also be carried with the chain tucked inside for a clutch-style look, making them easy to dress up for evening use. As with any soft vintage leather piece, it is best to handle the chain gently to help preserve the shape of the bag.

Q: How should I care for vintage lambskin?
A: Store it away from direct sunlight, moisture, and rough surfaces, and avoid overfilling so the slim shape stays neat. A soft dry cloth is best for light surface dust. For deeper cleaning or conditioning, use a specialist experienced with luxury leather rather than household products.
