Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel Medium 19 Silk Flap Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 24 x 18 x 7 cm, this medium size is well suited to daily essentials. It should comfortably hold a phone, card holder or compact wallet, keys, lipstick, sunglasses and a few small extras. Capacity always depends on how you organise your items, so please refer to the Measurements on this page for the most accurate guide.

Q: Is the Medium 19 a good everyday size?
A: Yes, the Medium 19 is widely considered one of the most versatile Chanel 19 sizes. It offers a relaxed, roomy shape for day use while still looking polished enough for lunch, dinners and evenings out. It is a practical choice if you want more space than a mini or small evening bag without moving into an oversized silhouette.

Q: How can this bag be carried?
A: This bag can be carried by hand using the top handle or worn on the shoulder using the chain strap. The handle drop is approximately 8 cm and the strap drop is approximately 48 cm. Depending on your height and styling preference, some customers may also find the longer strap workable for a shorter crossbody fit, but shoulder wear is typically the safest expectation.

Q: Is silk a delicate material for a handbag?
A: Yes, silk is a more delicate choice than leather or coated canvas, so it benefits from gentler handling. It is best to avoid rain, rough surfaces, heavy rubbing and colour transfer from dark clothing. Store it away from direct sunlight and moisture, and use a soft dry cloth for light surface dust. For marks or staining, specialist professional cleaning is the safest option.

Q: What condition is this specific bag in?
A: This item is listed in Very Good Condition. The exterior shows stains and marks on the fabric as well as wear to the base. The interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with scratches and some tarnishing. Please review all images carefully for the clearest impression of its current condition.

Q: Does this bag come with Chanel paperwork or other items?
A: This piece comes with a serial number tag. Everything included with the bag is shown in the product information, so if another item is not listed there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What does the serial number indicate?
A: The serial number is noted as 30******, which corresponds to 2020 according to the product data. On pre-owned Chanel bags, the serial reference is one of several details used during the authentication process and can also help place the item within its production period.

Q: How do you authenticate this Chanel 19 bag?
A: At A Retro Tale, each item is assessed by experts using multiple checkpoints such as construction, materials, hardware, branding details and serial markings. For a Chanel 19, buyers often pay close attention to the mixed-tone chain, oversized CC turn-lock, overall shape and interior finishing, all of which are important authentication markers.

Q: Will a phone fit inside comfortably?
A: Yes, most modern smartphones should fit comfortably inside this bag along with a few daily essentials. As with any flap style, bulkier items will reduce the available space, so it works best when packed with essentials rather than larger pouches or hard cases.
