ChanelPatent Rock In Moscow Single Flap Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Chanel Patent Rock In Moscow Single Flap Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 26 x 15 x 7.5 cm, it is best suited to essentials such as a phone, card holder or compact wallet, keys, lipstick and a few small daily items. It is a medium-sized flap bag rather than a large day bag, so bulkier items will limit space.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: Probably not for most people. The strap drop is approximately 22 cm, which makes it better suited to shoulder carry and may also work tucked under the arm, depending on height and styling preference.

Q: What does “single flap” mean?
A: A single flap bag has one main exterior flap rather than an additional inner flap. Many collectors like single flap styles because they are typically a little lighter and easier to access, while still keeping the classic Chanel flap silhouette.

Q: Is this a vintage Chanel style?
A: Yes. Rock In Moscow styles are generally associated with Chanel’s Paris-Moscou period from around 2008–2009, and the 12-series serial numbering on this bag is consistent with that era. As with many vintage Chanel pieces, the production period should be read as approximate rather than day-specific.

Q: How should I care for the patent leather finish?
A: Patent leather should be handled gently to help preserve its shine. Store the bag upright in its dust bag, lightly stuffed to maintain shape, and keep it away from prolonged sunlight, heat and moisture. Because this bag is a light ecru tone, it is especially wise to avoid contact with dark denim and other strongly dyed fabrics that can cause colour transfer.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: The overall condition is listed as very good. The interior shows light traces of use, the hardware remains shiny with light scratches, and the exterior has signs of wear including marks on the top right corner shown in the detailed images.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This piece comes with a dust bag and an authenticity card. No box is listed in the product information for this specific bag.

Q: Does the bag offer any interior organisation?
A: Yes. It has a beige satin lining with one internal pocket, which is useful for separating smaller essentials such as cards, receipts or lipstick from the main compartment.

Q: Does an authenticity card prove authenticity on its own?
A: An authenticity card is a helpful supporting detail for older Chanel bags, but it should not be relied on in isolation. Proper authentication also considers the serial numbering, materials, construction, hardware, stamping and overall workmanship.
