ChanelSmall Messenger Flap Bag

Q: What fits inside this Chanel Small Messenger Flap Bag?
A: With measurements of 19 x 15 x 5 cm, this compact vintage bag is best suited to small daily essentials such as a phone, card holder, keys, lipstick, and other slim items. It is a practical choice for light day-to-evening use rather than for carrying bulkier items.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: The bag features a leather-threaded chain shoulder strap with an approximate drop of 45 cm. Depending on your height and preferred fit, it may sit as a long shoulder bag or a shorter crossbody, but we recommend comparing the strap drop to a bag you already own for the best idea of how it will wear.

Q: Is this an authentic vintage Chanel bag?
A: Yes. This item has been authenticated and includes both an authenticity card and a serial sticker. The serial number is a 1-series code, which corresponds to production from 1989 to 1991, consistent with this bag’s vintage era.

Q: What accessories are included with this bag?
A: This item includes the authenticity card and serial sticker. Everything included is listed in the product information; if an additional item is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What is the condition of this bag?
A: This bag is rated Very Good Condition. The exterior and interior both show light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Please review the product images and condition notes for the closest representation.

Q: What are the main features of this bag?
A: This vintage Chanel bag is crafted in black quilted leather with gold-tone hardware. It features a leather-threaded chain shoulder strap, tonal leather lining, one internal zip pocket, and a flap closure with the signature CC turn-lock.

Q: Is this bag made in France or Italy?
A: This piece is labelled as made in Italy according to the product information. Chanel vintage bags were produced in different countries depending on the period and style, so the country label should always be checked on the individual item.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Chanel leather bag?
A: To help preserve the leather, store the bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Avoid overfilling it, keep it lightly stuffed when not in use, and wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth. As with most vintage leather bags, careful handling will help maintain its shape and finish over time.

Q: Does the serial sticker and authenticity card guarantee authenticity on their own?
A: They are important supporting details, especially on vintage Chanel bags, but they should always be considered alongside the overall construction, materials, stitching, hardware, and finish. For this item, authenticity has already been professionally assessed before sale.
