Q: What typically fits inside the Chloé Large Marcie?
A: With approximate measurements of 36 × 34 × 12 cm, it comfortably carries daily and work essentials such as a full‑size wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, cosmetics pouch, A4 documents, a 500 ml bottle and a tablet. Most 13‑inch laptops and some slim 14‑inch devices may also fit, depending on their exact dimensions and sleeve thickness. For best results, compare your device size to the Measurements on this page.

Q: Is it suitable as a work bag or everyday tote?
A: Yes. The Large Marcie is designed as a roomy day bag. Marcie satchels typically include a secure zipped main compartment, an interior zipped pocket and a handy front slip pocket concealed beneath the flap, which make organising documents and essentials straightforward.

Q: How can this bag be carried?
A: The Marcie double‑carry design features rolled top handles; many editions also include a detachable longer strap for shoulder or crossbody wear. Carry options and strap length can vary by season and year—please check the photos and the product information on this page to see exactly what this piece offers.

Q: What leather is used and how durable is it?
A: Marcie bags are crafted from grained calfskin with decorative saddle stitching and gold‑tone hardware. The pebbled texture helps disguise light scratches from daily use. To preserve the soft, slouchy silhouette, avoid overfilling and store the bag properly when not in use.

Q: How should I care for the leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Keep away from water, oils, heat and prolonged direct sunlight. When storing, empty the bag, loosely stuff it to maintain shape, and place it in a breathable dust bag in a cool, dry space. Use a neutral leather conditioner sparingly if needed, or consult a leather‑care professional for deep cleaning.

Q: Where is this piece made?
A: This individual bag is labelled Italy. Marcie production is commonly in Italy, though country of origin can vary by season and model.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag and where is the serial number located?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully authenticated by our in‑house experts. On Chloé bags, you typically find a serial number stamped on a small interior leather tab; some models also have a hologram sticker behind or near the tab. Other checkpoints include the clean accent over the é in the logo, even stitching, quality hardware and correct materials.

Q: What is included with this listing?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information for this item. This listing notes no additional items; if a dust bag, card or long strap is not mentioned there or shown in the photos, it is not included.

Q: Will the black colour transfer onto light clothing?
A: Colour transfer is uncommon with grained calfskin but can occur with friction and humidity. We recommend avoiding prolonged contact with light fabrics in wet or very warm conditions and letting new dark denim or treated textiles colour‑set before wearing them together.
