Q: What sizes does this Dolce & Gabbana chain belt fit?
A: The total length is approximately 135 cm. Thanks to the tie closure, it can be cinched at the waist or worn lower on the hips. For best results, measure around the spot you plan to wear it and ensure you leave a little extra length for the tassels to drape.

Q: How do I fasten and adjust the tie closure securely?
A: Wrap the belt to your desired position, thread the leather tie through a suitable chain link, and finish with a neat double knot. Avoid over-tightening to prevent stress on the links and leather; a snug, comfortable hold is ideal.

Q: Can it be styled as a necklace or body chain?
A: Many people style chain belts as long necklaces or layered body jewellery. If you do, check that the knot sits comfortably, avoid excessive tightness, and be mindful of embellishments near delicate fabrics to prevent snagging.

Q: Will the mixed metal finish tarnish over time?
A: Gold-, silver- and gunmetal-tone finishes can gradually dull or discolour with exposure to air, humidity, lotions and perfume. Wipe the belt with a soft dry cloth after wear and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to help preserve the finish.

Q: How should I care for the pearl and crystal embellishments?
A: Keep them away from water, perfume, hairspray and household cleaners. Do not soak or use ultrasonic cleaners. Instead, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth; any deeper clean should be light and targeted to avoid disturbing adhesives or coatings.

Q: How do I look after the leather tassels?
A: Spot-clean carefully with a slightly damp cloth and allow to air dry away from heat. Do not saturate the leather, and avoid oily conditioners near the metal or embellishments.

Q: Is it suitable for everyday wear?
A: Yes for light daily use, but avoid situations where the chain could snag or be pulled (for example around machinery, vigorous exercise, or rough knitwear). Remove it before showering or swimming.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything that comes with the belt is listed under product information. If an item such as a dust bag or box is not mentioned there, it is not included.

Q: What is the condition of this vintage piece?
A: Very good overall with light traces of use. The hardware is shiny with light scratches. Please review the photos for the most accurate view of condition.

Q: How does A Retro Tale authenticate this belt?
A: Every piece is thoroughly checked by our in-house experts using multi-point inspection of materials, construction, stamps and hardware. We stand behind the authenticity of all items and can share further details on request.
