Louis VuittonEpi Speedy 25 Bag

Q: What fits inside the Louis Vuitton Epi Speedy 25?
A: The Speedy 25 is a compact everyday handbag that typically fits daily essentials such as a phone, purse, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other small personal items. For this specific bag, please refer to the measurements on this page: 28 cm width, 20 cm height and 15 cm depth.

Q: Is the Speedy 25 a good everyday size?
A: Yes. The Speedy 25 is widely considered one of the most practical everyday Speedy sizes because it offers enough space for essentials while still feeling lightweight and easy to carry. It suits day-to-day use, city outings and smart casual wear very well.

Q: Does this bag have a shoulder strap?
A: No. This specific Louis Vuitton Epi Speedy 25 Bag is a classic handheld style and does not come with a shoulder strap. The handle drop is approximately 9 cm, so it is best carried in the hand or in the crook of the arm.

Q: What are the benefits of Louis Vuitton Epi leather?
A: Epi leather is known for its distinctive textured finish, structured feel and strong resistance to everyday wear. Compared with smoother leathers, it tends to be more scratch-resistant and easier to maintain, which is one reason vintage Epi bags remain so popular.

Q: How should I care for vintage Epi leather?
A: Wipe the surface gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, oils or soaking the leather. Store the bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and avoid overfilling it, as this helps preserve both the leather and the shape over time.

Q: What does the code VI0972 mean?
A: Louis Vuitton used date codes rather than unique serial numbers on vintage bags. The code VI0972 indicates production in France, and the number format corresponds to July 1992. As with all Louis Vuitton pieces, the date code should be considered one detail among many when assessing authenticity.

Q: Does the date code prove authenticity on its own?
A: No. A date code alone does not prove authenticity, because codes can be copied or added to counterfeit items. Authenticity should always be assessed as a whole, including materials, construction, hardware, stamping and overall craftsmanship. At A Retro Tale, all items are carefully authenticated before sale.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This bag is listed in very good condition with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are both noted as very good, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches. As this is a vintage item, minor signs of previous wear are normal and part of its character.

Q: Does this item come with any accessories?
A: No additional accessories are included with this item. Please refer to the product information for the most accurate overview of what is included with the bag.
