Q: What are these earrings made of—are they solid gold?
A: Louis Vuitton fashion jewellery is typically crafted from a brass base with a gold‑tone finish rather than solid gold. Only the Maison’s fine jewellery collections are made in 18‑karat gold. These earrings are fashion jewellery with a gold‑tone finish.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears?
A: Louis Vuitton does not market its fashion jewellery as hypoallergenic and individual sensitivities to plated brass can vary. If you have known metal sensitivities, we recommend considering the brand’s fine jewellery in 18‑karat gold or consulting a jeweller for alternative backs.

Q: Are these for pierced ears or clip‑on?
A: They are for pierced ears and feature push‑back closures.

Q: What size are they and how do they sit on the ear?
A: Approx. 1.6 × 1.6 cm with a depth of about 0.2 cm. On most ears, the PM size offers a discreet, everyday look without feeling heavy.

Q: Is this the PM or GM version?
A: Louis Vuitton offered this style in PM (small) and GM (large). Based on our measurements (approx. 1.6 cm), this pair corresponds to the PM size.

Q: What is included with this listing?
A: Everything included is listed under Product information. For this item, no additional items (such as box or pouch) are included unless explicitly stated there.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone finish?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, hand sanitiser, and hairspray; remove before bathing, swimming, or strenuous activities; and store in a cool, dry place away from humidity to help preserve the finish.

Q: Will the finish tarnish or fade over time?
A: As with all plated finishes, gradual micro‑scratching and dulling can occur with wear and exposure to moisture or chemicals. Proper care and dry storage will help keep them looking their best.

Q: Can Louis Vuitton repair or replate these earrings?
A: Louis Vuitton’s online repair request does not accept jewellery. In‑store client advisors can advise on options, but services for fashion jewellery are limited and replating is not routinely offered. A local jeweller may be able to refinish plated pieces, though this is outside LV’s services.

Q: Are these authentic and what is the condition?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully authenticated by our in‑house experts. Condition is very good with light traces of use; the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches. Country of origin: Italy.
