Q: What typically fits in the Cité GM, and does it take an iPad or A4 documents?
A: With approximate measurements of 37 × 22 × 10 cm, the Cité GM is a medium–large shoulder bag that comfortably holds a long wallet, phone, sunglasses case, keys, a small cosmetics pouch and a compact umbrella. It fits most tablets up to about 11 inches and slim A4 papers placed horizontally, though the top zip opening can be snug for stiff folders. A 13‑inch laptop is generally not recommended.

Q: Is the Cité GM still in production?
A: No. The Cité line from the early 2000s is discontinued and now available on the pre‑owned market. Louis Vuitton currently offers a modern Vivacité style inspired by the 2003 design, but it is a different model from this vintage Cité GM.

Q: What are the pockets and internal layout?
A: The Cité GM features one exterior zipped pocket for quick access. Inside, there is one zipped pocket plus two slip pockets to organise smaller items, all secured by a top zip closure.

Q: What does the date code FL1002 mean on this bag?
A: For Louis Vuitton codes used between 1990 and 2006, the first and third digits indicate the month and the second and fourth digits the year. FL indicates a French workshop. Therefore, FL1002 decodes to October 2002 in France.

Q: How long are the shoulder straps? Will it sit comfortably on the shoulder?
A: This specific item has an approximately 30 cm strap drop, designed for comfortable shoulder carry even over light layers. Individual examples can vary slightly due to production year and prior use.

Q: What is the lining material and how should I care for it?
A: The lining is Alcantara (a soft microfibre). For routine care, gently lint‑roll or use a soft brush. For spot cleaning, use a very mild soap solution sparingly on a soft cloth and test first in an inconspicuous area. Avoid over‑wetting and allow to air dry.

Q: How should I care for the Monogram canvas and Vachetta leather trim?
A: Monogram coated canvas is durable and can be wiped with a slightly damp, lint‑free cloth. The natural Vachetta leather is untreated and will develop patina; keep it away from water, oils and prolonged sun/heat. If needed, use a gentle, pH‑balanced leather cleaner sparingly and condition infrequently; for stubborn watermarks or heavy stains, consult a leather care professional.

Q: Is the bag structured and does it have metal feet?
A: The Cité GM has a semi‑structured silhouette that holds its shape well for everyday use. It does not have metal feet on the base.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under product information on this page. This piece is listed with no additional items beyond the bag itself.

Q: What does “Very Good condition” note imply here?
A: This item shows a visible patina on the Vachetta leather with watermarks and scuffing on corners/trim, light interior signs of use, and shiny hardware with light scratches. Please review the photos and product information for the full condition overview before purchase.
