Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Reporter PM Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 32 x 21 x 13 cm, the Reporter PM is well suited to everyday essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, passport, cosmetics, and a slim tablet or e-reader. It is roomy for daily use but not ideal for most laptops, so please use the listed measurements as your best guide.

Q: Can this bag be worn cross-body?
A: Yes. This style is designed with a single adjustable strap and can usually be worn on the shoulder or cross-body. For this specific bag, the listed strap drop is 45 cm and adjustable, although the exact fit will depend on your height and preferred wearing position.

Q: How is the bag organised inside?
A: The Reporter PM is known for its practical camera-bag layout. This piece has two main zip compartments, a front slip pocket, and internal pockets, which makes it easy to separate everyday items such as your wallet, phone, travel documents, and other small essentials.

Q: Is the Reporter PM a good travel bag?
A: Yes, many collectors and long-time owners like the Reporter PM for travel because the two zipped sections help keep items organised, the front pocket offers quick access, and the flatter shape sits neatly against the body. It works especially well for city days, commuting, and flights when you want your hands free.

Q: What does PM mean, and how does it compare with the GM size?
A: PM stands for the smaller size in the Reporter family. It offers a more compact, everyday profile, while the GM version is larger and better for bulkier loads such as work items or a larger travel setup. If you want a vintage cross-body for daily essentials rather than maximum capacity, the PM is usually the more manageable choice.

Q: Does this bag have a serial number or date code?
A: Louis Vuitton bags do not use serial numbers in the usual sense; older pieces typically have date codes instead. On vintage bags, these codes can sometimes be faint, hidden, or no longer visible with wear. For this item, no serial number is visible in the product information, so authentication should be judged by the overall construction, materials, hardware, stamps, and expert verification rather than one marking alone.

Q: What condition is this specific bag in?
A: This item is listed in good vintage condition. The exterior shows wear to the Monogram canvas and Vachetta leather piping, the inside has pen marks and stains, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with most older Louis Vuitton bags, gentle signs of age are part of the character, so we recommend reviewing all photos closely before purchase.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: No original product information is included with this bag. Everything that comes with the item is stated in the product information section, so if a dust bag, box, lock, or other extra is not listed there, it should be assumed not to be included.

Q: How should I care for vintage Monogram canvas and Vachetta leather?
A: Wipe the coated canvas gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. Vachetta leather is prone to darkening, water spots, and marks from oils or dye transfer, so keep it away from rain, lotions, and dark fabrics where possible. Store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag or pillowcase and avoid prolonged heat, humidity, and overfilling. Louis Vuitton also offers repair services for eligible items.
