Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Reporter PM Bag?
A: With dimensions of approximately 30 x 21 x 14 cm and two main zip compartments, it is well suited to everyday essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, cosmetics and a small tablet or e-reader. It is not designed for most laptops. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The Reporter PM is known for its adjustable long strap and is commonly worn on the shoulder or crossbody. For this item, the strap measurement is listed as 37 cm, so the fit will depend on your height and preferred drop.

Q: How is the bag organised inside?
A: This style is loved for its practical layout. It features two zip compartments, internal pockets and a front exterior pocket, making it easy to separate essentials such as your phone, wallet, travel documents or small daily items.

Q: What materials is this bag made from?
A: This bag is crafted from Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas with tan vachetta leather trim, beige textile lining and brass hardware.

Q: Is the Reporter PM a good everyday bag?
A: Yes. The Reporter PM is a popular vintage everyday style because it is lightweight, sits close to the body and keeps essentials organised. It also works well for city days and light travel, though the PM size is best for daily essentials rather than bulky work items.

Q: What condition is this specific bag in?
A: This item is in Very Good condition. The vachetta leather has a visible patina with scuffing on the trim, the interior shows light traces of use, and the hardware has scratches and tarnishing.

Q: How should I care for vintage Monogram canvas and vachetta leather?
A: Wipe the coated canvas gently with a soft damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, oils, perfume and alcohol-based products. The natural leather trim will darken and develop patina over time, which is normal for vintage Louis Vuitton. Store the bag lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag and keep it away from direct heat, moisture and overfilling.

Q: Does this bag have a serial number?
A: Louis Vuitton vintage bags typically use a date code rather than a unique serial number. A date code can help indicate when and where the bag was made, but it is only one part of authentication. As the serial number field for this item is blank, please contact us if you would like us to confirm any available production markings.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: This item is listed with no additional pieces in the product information. If you would like to double-check what is included before purchase, feel free to contact us.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by experts using checks on materials, craftsmanship, hardware, stamps and overall construction. We stand behind the authenticity of the pieces we sell.
