Q: What is this bracelet made of?
A: It is crafted in solid sterling silver (925) with a classic chain-link design, a heart-shaped tag and a secure lobster clasp. It is not silver plated.

Q: What is the length and how will it fit?
A: The bracelet measures approximately 17 cm (about 6.7 inches). Link bracelets are typically worn slightly loose; as a guide, many wearers choose a length around 1–2 cm greater than their wrist measurement for comfortable movement. Please measure your wrist to confirm your preferred fit.

Q: Can the size be adjusted?
A: Shortening is often possible by professionally removing a link, while lengthening may require adding matching links. Tiffany & Co. offers alterations on many jewellery styles; availability, timing and fees vary by piece and boutique. We recommend consulting a Tiffany specialist or trusted jeweller before any adjustments.

Q: Can the heart tag be engraved?
A: Many Tiffany heart tags can be personalised through Tiffany’s engraving service, subject to feasibility and a service fee. Engraved items are commonly considered final sale by the engraver. This vintage piece is sold as shown; engraving is not provided by A Retro Tale.

Q: Will sterling silver tarnish and how do I care for it?
A: Sterling silver naturally tarnishes over time, especially with exposure to chlorine, bleach, sulphur and rubber. Clean with a quality silver polishing cloth or a small amount of silver jewellery cleaner, then rinse in warm water and dry thoroughly. Store in a soft pouch when not worn and avoid harsh chemicals.

Q: Is it safe to wear in the shower or pool?
A: Brief contact with fresh water is generally fine if you dry the piece thoroughly afterwards, but avoid pools, hot tubs and seawater as chlorine and salt accelerate tarnish. Remove before applying lotions, perfumes or cleaning products.

Q: How do I know it is authentic?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously authenticated by our in‑house experts. Authentic Tiffany sterling silver typically features precise hallmarks such as Tiffany & Co. and the metal purity (e.g., 925), crisp engraving, high-quality finishing and a well-made clasp. Feel free to request additional photos or details.

Q: Is sterling silver suitable for sensitive skin?
A: Sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver alloyed mainly with other metals (commonly copper) and is generally well tolerated. However, sensitivities vary and some alloys can include trace metals. If you have a known nickel allergy, consider testing for compatibility and consult a jeweller or Tiffany Client Care for metal composition advice.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: As listed, this bracelet is sold without accessories (no box, pouch or papers). Everything included is always stated under Accessories on this page.
