ChanelCC Tassel Suede Camera Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel CC Tassel Suede Camera Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 23 x 17 x 5.5 cm, this bag is best suited to small daily essentials such as a phone, cardholder or slim wallet, keys, lipstick, and a few compact personal items. It is a practical vintage day-to-evening size, but it will not fit larger items such as a tablet or bulky purse.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: This style features a single chain strap woven with leather, with a listed strap measurement of 45 cm. For most wearers, that makes it better suited to shoulder carry rather than a true long crossbody fit. The exact fit can vary slightly depending on height and styling preference.

Q: What materials and details does this bag feature?
A: This vintage Chanel bag is crafted in black quilted suede with leather trim and finished with gold-tone hardware. It has an exterior front slip pocket, black leather lining, one internal zip pocket, and a zip closure with a tassel pull.

Q: What is the condition of this item?
A: This bag is listed in good condition. The exterior shows marks and rubbing on the suede, the interior has light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. As with most vintage suede bags, gentle signs of age and handling are to be expected.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: The product information includes a box, serial sticker, and dust bag. If another accessory is not mentioned in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: What does the serial sticker date range mean?
A: The serial sticker begins with 0 and places this bag in the 1986 to 1988 production period. This helps date the bag within Chanel’s early serial sticker era and supports its vintage character.

Q: How should I care for vintage Chanel suede?
A: Suede is a delicate material and should be handled carefully. Store the bag in its dust bag when not in use, keep it away from prolonged sunlight and moisture, and avoid overfilling it so it keeps its shape. For surface dust, use a clean, soft suede brush very gently, and avoid harsh cleaners or rubbing products directly onto the material.

Q: Is a serial sticker alone enough to authenticate a vintage Chanel bag?
A: No, a serial sticker is only one part of the authentication process. Authenticity should also be assessed through the overall construction, materials, stitching, hardware, interior details, and era-specific features. Every item sold by A Retro Tale is carefully vetted for authenticity by in-house experts.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: According to the product data, this bag is made in France, which is consistent with many vintage Chanel bags from this era.
