Q: Are these Chanel earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every piece at A Retro Tale is verified by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, construction, stamps and hardware, and we stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell.

Q: What does “Coco Mark” refer to?
A: Coco Mark is a commonly used term for Chanel’s interlocking CC logo, the house’s signature emblem. It appears prominently at the centre of this design.

Q: What are the dimensions and how do they sit on the ear?
A: Each earring measures approximately 2.8 cm in height, 2.7 cm in width and 1 cm in depth. The dome‑shaped profile offers a gently raised look on the lobe without feeling oversized.

Q: Are they real gold and diamonds?
A: These are vintage Chanel costume jewellery earrings crafted in gold‑tone metal with a rhinestone centre. The stones are crystals (not diamonds) and the metal is not solid gold unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Q: How secure and comfortable are the clip‑ons?
A: Chanel clip‑ons are designed to grip the lobe securely. For added comfort or a snugger fit, you can use silicone or foam pads on the clip pad. If the tension feels too loose or tight, a professional jeweller can adjust the hinge.

Q: Can they be converted for pierced ears?
A: Some jewellers offer clip‑to‑post conversions, but altering vintage Chanel may affect structural integrity and collector value. We do not offer conversion services; if you choose to convert, please consult a trusted professional.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone metal and rhinestones?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wear. Avoid water, perfume, hairspray and ultrasonic cleaners, as moisture and chemicals can dull rhinestones and plating. Store in a dry pouch, keeping the pair separate to minimise scratches.

Q: Do these earrings have a Chanel stamp or date mark?
A: Many vintage Chanel earrings carry a signature cartouche stamped with Chanel and the country of origin, sometimes with seasonal or date codes. Stamps vary by era, and not every piece shows the same markings. Please refer to our photos or contact us for a closer look.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This pair is delivered with no accessories. Everything included is listed under the Accessories section on this page.

Q: What is your return policy for earrings?
A: For hygienic reasons, we only accept returns of earrings if the security seal is intact. If the seal has been broken, we cannot accept the return.
