Christian DiorSilk Twilly

Q: What is a Dior silk twilly and how can it be worn?
A: A Dior silk twilly is a slim, elongated silk scarf designed as a versatile styling accessory. It can be worn around the neck, tied at the wrist, styled in the hair, or wrapped around a handbag handle for a polished finish.

Q: What are the measurements of this twilly?
A: This piece measures approximately 100 x 5.5 cm. Its narrow shape makes it especially well suited to decorative styling rather than warmth or full scarf coverage.

Q: Can this twilly be worn on a handbag handle?
A: Yes. Silk twillies are often used to wrap handles or tie onto a bag as an accent. With its 100 cm length, this one is ideal for adding colour and protecting smaller sections of a handle, though exact coverage will depend on the size of your bag.

Q: Can I wear it around my neck?
A: Yes. A twilly is designed to sit neatly at the neck in a knot, bow, or loose tie. Because it is long and slim, it works best as a chic accent rather than a full traditional scarf.

Q: Is this twilly suitable for styling in the hair or on the wrist?
A: Yes. This style is commonly worn in a ponytail, braided into the hair, tied as a headband detail, or wrapped at the wrist. Its slim proportions make it particularly easy to style in several ways.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: This item is in very good condition. The exterior shows light scuffs and there are light traces of use overall. As with all vintage and second-hand silk accessories, minor signs of wear are part of the item’s character.

Q: Does this item come with a box, dust bag, or other extras?
A: No. According to the product information, this item comes with no accessories. If an accessory is not listed in the product information, it is not included.

Q: How should I care for a vintage silk twilly?
A: Silk should be handled gently. Avoid spraying perfume directly onto it, keep it away from rain and rough surfaces, and store it flat or loosely folded away from direct sunlight. For cleaning, specialist dry cleaning is usually the safest option for vintage silk.

Q: Is this an authentic Christian Dior item?
A: Yes. Every item sold by A Retro Tale is carefully inspected by specialists and vetted for authenticity using brand-specific details such as materials, construction, labels, and overall finish.

Q: Is a blue Dior silk twilly easy to style?
A: Yes. Blue is a versatile colour that pairs well with neutrals, denim, black, white, and many handbag tones. It works beautifully as a subtle accent piece while still adding a recognisable luxury touch.
