HermèsBalle de Golf Bag

Q: What does “Balle de Golf” mean?
A: It means “golf ball” in French. It is the name of this Hermès bag, rather than an indication that it is sized to carry golf equipment.

Q: How large is this bag, and what might fit inside?
A: It measures approximately 18 cm high, 18 cm wide and 8 cm deep. It is best suited to small everyday essentials, such as a phone, cardholder, keys and lipstick. Check the dimensions of your belongings before purchasing, as fit depends on their size and how the bag is packed.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: The listed strap measurement is 40 cm. Whether it can be worn crossbody comfortably depends on your build and how the strap measurement is taken, so crossbody fit cannot be guaranteed. Compare the measurement with a bag you already own.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in good condition. The exterior and interior show light traces of use, while the hardware is shiny with light scratches. Please examine the product photographs for a closer look at this individual piece.

Q: What comes with the bag?
A: A dust bag is listed in the product information. No other accessories are specified there.

Q: Can the bag’s production year be confirmed?
A: No production year or serial number is provided in the product information, so we cannot reliably date this particular bag from the listing. Its stated country of origin is France.

Q: How should I care for and store it?
A: Protect the bag from water, prolonged sunlight and heat, and avoid overloading it. When not in use, store it in its dust bag in a dry place away from light. Hermès advises against using general-purpose leather-care products on its bags; seek specialist advice if cleaning or repair is needed.

Q: How is its authenticity checked?
A: A Retro Tale states that its in-house experts authenticate the items it sells. The assessment considers the details of the individual piece rather than relying on a single feature or an accessory.
