Louis VuittonDamier Bloomsbury PM Bag

Q: Is the Bloomsbury PM still in production?
A: The Bloomsbury line is no longer produced by Louis Vuitton. It was introduced around 2009 and is now sought after on the pre‑loved market.

Q: What are the measurements of this bag and how does it carry?
A: This piece measures approximately 32 × 27 × 2 cm. It is a slim, pleated crossbody that sits flat against the body yet has a bit of give thanks to the pleats. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact details for this specific item.

Q: Does it fit a tablet or other daily essentials?
A: Yes, it comfortably holds a long wallet, smartphone, keys, passport, a slim sunglasses case, and small cosmetics. A compact tablet up to about 10 inches can fit depending on the case; very bulky bottles or pouches are not recommended due to the slim profile.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody and is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes. The single flat strap is adjustable for shoulder or crossbody wear. Typical strap drop on Bloomsbury PM examples is around 50–56 cm; on this piece it is about 52 cm as listed in our Measurements.

Q: What materials is it made from?
A: Damier Ebene coated canvas with dark brown leather trim and gold‑tone hardware, plus a textile lining in a rich red tone.

Q: How secure and organised is the bag?
A: It has a top zip closure for the main compartment, an external front pocket with a magnetic snap for quick access, and two internal slip pockets to keep small items organised.

Q: Where is the date code on this model, and does this bag have one?
A: Pre‑2021 Louis Vuitton bags typically have a date code. On many Bloomsbury PMs it is found on a small leather tab inside a pocket; some examples place it inside the exterior front pocket. From March 2021 onward LV moved to embedded microchips, but this vintage piece predates that system.

Q: How should I care for Damier Ebene coated canvas and the leather trim?
A: Wipe the coated canvas with a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and mild soapy water if needed, and avoid alcohol‑ or oil‑based products (including hand sanitiser and perfume). Do not overfill, store loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag away from heat, and avoid prolonged sunlight. Use leather care sparingly on trim only—never on the canvas.

Q: The strap shows some cracking—can it be repaired?
A: Yes. Louis Vuitton offers paid repairs such as strap or trim replacement after an in‑store assessment or via their repair service. We are happy to provide guidance if you would like to explore this option.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under product information on this page. For this piece, there are no additional items included unless otherwise stated.

Q: How do you authenticate items at A Retro Tale?
A: Every piece undergoes multi‑point authentication by our experts, including inspection of materials, stitching, hardware engravings, heat stamps, date code/era consistency, and overall construction. We guarantee the authenticity of all items we sell.
