Q: What size is the Speedy 40, and what typically fits inside?
A: This bag measures approximately 40 x 25 x 18 cm, making it a roomy option within the Speedy family. It comfortably fits daily essentials plus extras such as a long wallet, phone, pouch, water bottle, light knitwear and travel necessities. It can also work well for an overnight stay, depending on how you pack.

Q: Is the Speedy 40 better for everyday use or travelling?
A: The Speedy 40 is generally best suited to those who prefer a larger handbag or want a stylish overnight or travel option. Many people find it bigger than a typical everyday bag, but it can still work well for daily use if you carry more than the basics.

Q: Can this bag be worn on the shoulder or crossbody?
A: No. This is the classic handheld Speedy, so it is designed to be carried by the dual rolled handles rather than worn with a strap. The handle drop on this piece is approximately 8 cm.

Q: Does the bag close securely?
A: Yes. This model has a top zip closure, which helps keep belongings more secure while still allowing easy access to the main compartment.

Q: How is the inside organised?
A: The interior is lined in brown textile and has one internal pocket. The rest of the interior is an open compartment, so smaller items are often easiest to keep in a separate pouch.

Q: What does the date code MB1011 mean?
A: This date code indicates production in France during the 10th week of 2011. Like other Louis Vuitton date codes, it helps show when and where the bag was made, but it is not a unique serial number.

Q: Is wear on the vachetta leather normal on a vintage Speedy?
A: Yes. Vachetta is untreated natural leather that darkens, softens and develops patina over time. Minor wear and creasing are common signs of age and use on vintage pieces, and this bag is noted as having minor wear and creasing on the vachetta details.

Q: How should I care for Monogram canvas and vachetta leather?
A: Clean the coated canvas gently with a soft damp cloth, avoid harsh cleaners and oils, and do not overfill the bag. If the vachetta gets wet, blot it promptly with a soft light-coloured cloth and let it dry naturally. Store the bag in a breathable place away from heat to help preserve its shape and finish.

Q: Does this item come with any additional inclusions?
A: No. This piece is sold without additional inclusions. Please refer to the product information for what is included with this item.
