Q: What colour and finish is this Saint Laurent Rive Gauche tote?
A: This particular bag is brown with a patent finish. It is a pre-owned Rive Gauche tote, rather than the canvas version also sold under that name.

Q: How large is the bag?
A: The listed measurements are approximately 40 cm high, 22 cm wide and 19 cm deep. Check these dimensions against the items you plan to carry, as the bag’s shape can affect usable space.

Q: Will it fit a laptop?
A: Laptop fit has not been confirmed for this bag. Its listed width is 22 cm, so measure your laptop, including any sleeve, before relying on it for work or study.

Q: Can I carry it on my shoulder?
A: The listed handle measurement is 16 cm. Whether the handles sit comfortably on your shoulder will depend on your build and clothing; a separate strap is not listed.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in good condition. The exterior has discolouration, signs of wear on the leather, visible scuffs at the corners and marks. The interior has light traces of use, while the shiny hardware has scratches and some tarnishing.

Q: Are a dust bag, box or other accessories included?
A: No accessories are listed for this bag. Check the product information for what is included; do not assume a dust bag, box or authenticity card accompanies it.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country-of-origin information for this particular bag is France.

Q: How should I care for the patent finish?
A: Keep the bag away from abrasive surfaces, liquids, oils, solvents and prolonged heat or sunlight. If it gets wet, gently blot it with a soft, neutral-coloured cloth rather than rubbing it. Be mindful that colour can transfer when bags and clothing are stored or worn in close contact.

Q: How should I store the tote?
A: Store it upright in a cool, dry place, with soft tissue paper inside to help retain its shape. Keep its patent surfaces from pressing against other coloured items. As no dust bag is listed, a clean, breathable fabric bag can provide protection during storage.

Q: Is the bag authenticated?
A: A Retro Tale states that its experts review the luxury pieces it sells for authenticity, examining details such as stitching, handles and other construction features.
