Q: What does the Elsa Peretti Bean design represent?
A: Elsa Peretti’s Bean design for Tiffany & Co. symbolises the origins of life. Its smooth, organic contours are inspired by the natural shape of a bean.

Q: What is the necklace made from?
A: This is the silver version of the Elsa Peretti Bean necklace. Tiffany & Co. describes its silver Bean designs as sterling silver.

Q: How large is the bean pendant?
A: This pendant measures approximately 0.8 cm high, 1 cm wide and 0.3 cm deep. These measurements describe this particular pre-owned piece rather than the dimensions of a current retail model.

Q: How long is the necklace?
A: The necklace measures approximately 41 cm around. Compare this with a necklace you already own to help judge the fit, as its position will depend on your neck size.

Q: What condition is this necklace in?
A: This pre-owned necklace is listed in Very Good Condition. Its silver surface is shiny with light scratches, so it should not be expected to have an unworn finish.

Q: Does it come with a Tiffany box or pouch?
A: No accessories are included with this necklace. Please refer to the product information for confirmation of what accompanies this particular piece.

Q: Can I wear this necklace every day or in the shower?
A: Tiffany encourages regular wear of its sterling silver jewellery, but recommends removing it before showering, bathing, swimming and exercising. Avoid contact with perfume, cosmetics, bleach and household cleaning products.

Q: Will the silver tarnish?
A: Sterling silver can naturally tarnish when exposed to humidity, perspiration, salty air and certain chemicals. Keep the necklace dry and store it in a soft protective pouch when not in use; a pouch is not included with this item.

Q: How should I clean the necklace?
A: Tiffany recommends applying a small amount of its silver jewellery cleaner to a soft cloth and gently rubbing the silver. Rinse thoroughly in warm water and dry carefully. Cleaning can remove tarnish and restore shine, but it should not be expected to remove the light scratches noted in this necklace’s condition.
