Q: What is Box Calf leather, and what should I know about it?
A: Box Calf is a smooth, glossy calf leather known for its elegant finish and structured appearance. It is highly prized for its refined look, but it can show scratches and corner wear more easily than more heavily grained leathers. Over time, it often develops a beautiful patina that many collectors appreciate.

Q: How should I care for this vintage Box Calf bag?
A: Handle it with care and avoid contact with rain, rough surfaces, oils, and prolonged direct sunlight. For routine care, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and store it in its dust bag when not in use. Because Box Calf is smooth and delicate, it is best not to overfill the bag, as this can stress the leather and affect the shape.

Q: What pockets does the interior have?
A: The bag has a tonal leather lining with one internal zip pocket and one slip pocket, which are useful for keeping smaller essentials organised.

Q: What does the stamp Square D mean?
A: The Square D stamp indicates the bag was produced in 2000. On Hermès bags, this blind stamp is used to identify the year of manufacture and is an important detail for dating vintage pieces.

Q: What is included with this bag?
A: This item includes product information consisting of the box, dust bag, lock and keys, and clochette. Everything included with the purchase is listed in the product information section.
