Q: Is this Chanel Vintage Coco Mark Necklace authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Buy with confidence.

Q: What does “Coco Mark” mean?
A: “Coco Mark” refers to Chanel’s iconic interlocking CC logo. Vintage Coco Mark necklaces feature this motif in various sizes and finishes across different seasons and eras.

Q: What materials is this necklace likely made from?
A: Vintage Chanel costume jewellery typically uses gold‑tone plated base metal (often brass) and may incorporate glass stones, Gripoix poured glass, resin or faux pearls. Exact composition varies by piece; please review the photos and contact us if you’d like us to confirm specific details for this item.

Q: Is the length adjustable and will it fit me?
A: Many Chanel necklaces include adjustable links or an extender chain. Please refer to the “Perimeter Necklace” measurement on the product page; if you need the precise wearable range, contact us and we’ll measure it for you.

Q: How does it fasten?
A: Chanel necklaces commonly use a spring‑ring, lobster clasp or hook closure. Check the close‑up images on the product page to see the exact fastening for this piece.

Q: How should I care for vintage Chanel jewellery?
A: Keep it dry and away from perfume, hairspray and lotions. After wear, gently wipe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and store separately to prevent scratches. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips. If needed, lightly polish only the metal parts with a non‑abrasive jewellery cloth, avoiding stones or enamel.

Q: Is it nickel‑free and suitable for sensitive skin?
A: Vintage and costume jewellery may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, consider using a clear barrier product on contact points or wearing the necklace over clothing. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Q: Can you help date the piece? What hallmarks should I look for?
A: Many vintage Chanel pieces have a signature plaque (cartouche) stamped “CHANEL” and often “Made in France” or “Made in Italy”, with season/year codes on later pieces. We examine these hallmarks to estimate era; contact us if you’d like our dating notes for this necklace.

Q: What condition should I expect?
A: Please review the condition notes and high‑resolution photos. Typical vintage wear may include micro‑scratches, minor plating wear or light discolouration to hardware. Any notable flaws are disclosed in the listing.

Q: Does it come with the original box or accessories?
A: Only accessories specifically listed on the product page are included. If a Chanel box or dust bag is shown or mentioned, it will be provided; otherwise, we will package the necklace securely for safe delivery.

Q: Can I return it if it doesn’t suit?
A: Yes—please refer to our Returns page for full details on eligibility and timeframes. Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received.
