Q: How is Bottega Veneta belt size 85 measured, and what waist does it typically fit?
A: Designer belt sizes in Europe are measured from the buckle prong to the middle hole. A size 85 means 85 cm to the centre hole (about 33.5 inches). As a guide, it usually fits waists around 32–34 inches when worn at the natural waist. The most accurate check is to measure a belt you already wear from the prong to your most‑used hole; if that is near 85 cm, this belt should fit.

Q: Will the 3 cm strap width fit my belt loops?
A: Yes. Around 3 cm is a versatile dress width that fits most tailored trouser and chino loops and will also pass through most denim loops. On jeans with very wide loops, it will look slimmer than the usual casual 3.8 cm width.

Q: Is this belt reversible?
A: No. This piece is a single‑sided black leather belt with a classic silver‑tone buckle and is not reversible.

Q: How much adjustability does it have and how many holes are there?
A: Most leather belts have five holes spaced roughly 2.5 cm apart, giving about 10 cm of adjustment around the labelled size. When the size is correct you should fasten on or near the centre hole.

Q: Can I add extra holes or shorten the belt?
A: A professional cobbler can add extra holes neatly, and some belts can be shortened from the buckle end depending on construction. Please contact us before altering your belt, as modifications may affect eligibility for return.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This listing shows no accessories included. Everything that comes with the belt is noted in the Accessories section on this page.

Q: What is the condition of this belt?
A: Very Good overall, with light signs of wear. The silver‑tone hardware shows small scratches consistent with gentle use. Please review the photos for close‑ups.

Q: How should I care for the leather and buckle?
A: Wipe the strap with a soft, dry cloth after wear. Condition sparingly with a neutral leather conditioner to prevent drying, and avoid water, oils and prolonged heat or sunlight. Store flat or hung rather than tightly rolled. For the buckle, avoid abrasive polishes; a clean microfibre cloth is usually sufficient.

Q: Is size 85 suitable for wearing lower on the hips?
A: If you plan to wear the belt lower on the hips, you may need a larger size than you use at the waist because the belt line is wider. Measuring where you will wear the belt will give the most reliable result.

Q: Is this belt unisex?
A: Yes. Belt fit is based on measurements rather than gender. The 3 cm width and classic buckle suit a wide range of wardrobes for any wearer.
