CartierTank American 15x27mm Ref. WSTA0016 Ca 2020 Watch

Q: Which Cartier model is this, and when was it made?
A: This is the Cartier Tank American, also known as the Tank Américaine, listed under reference WSTA0016. The product information dates this Swiss-made watch to approximately 2020; this is an estimated year rather than a confirmed production date.

Q: What size is this watch, and will it suit a smaller wrist?
A: The listed dimensions are 15 × 27 mm, giving it a compact, rectangular profile. Wrist fit also depends on the strap length, which is not specified in the product information. Please ask for the wearable strap length if you need to confirm the fit before purchasing.

Q: What condition is this pre-owned watch in?
A: It is classified as Like New Condition, with light traces of use on the exterior. The internal condition is also described as like new, while the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. It is therefore not an unworn watch; please review the photographs for its visible condition.

Q: Is the WSTA0016 quartz or automatic?
A: The Cartier Tank Américaine reference WSTA0016 uses a battery-powered quartz movement, so it does not require regular manual winding. The product information does not specify when this watch's battery was last replaced or how much battery life remains.

Q: What comes with this watch?
A: The product information lists a box and manual. A warranty card or service documentation is not listed, so these should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Can I wear this watch while swimming or showering?
A: This pre-owned watch's current water-resistance test status is not provided. Do not assume it is suitable for swimming or showering; have its water resistance checked before exposing it to water. Cartier also advises keeping leather straps away from water and other liquids.

Q: How do I set the time?
A: Cartier's user guide for WSTA0016 instructs you to pull the crown out one notch, turn it until the correct time is displayed, then push it fully back into the case to restart the hands. Avoid adjusting the crown while the watch is wet or underwater.

Q: Can the strap be adjusted or replaced?
A: Cartier provides strap-adjustment guidance for WSTA0016. A replacement strap must match the watch's lug width and buckle requirements, so do not choose one based solely on the listed case dimensions. Ask Cartier or a qualified watchmaker to confirm compatibility and fit.

Q: How should I care for this watch?
A: Handle it gently, keep it away from strong magnetic sources and avoid wearing it during contact sports. Keep any leather strap dry. For battery replacement, Cartier recommends using a Cartier boutique or authorised dealer, where the watch's water resistance can also be checked after the case is opened.
