Q: Is this the Medium (MM) size of the Deauville?
A: Yes. MM corresponds to Chanel’s Medium Deauville. Typical Medium dimensions are around 38 × 30 × 15 cm; please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact size of this individual piece.

Q: What can the Medium Deauville typically hold?
A: It comfortably fits an A4 folder or tablet, a 13-inch laptop (and often a slim 14-inch depending on case), a long wallet, water bottle, phone, keys and a small cosmetics pouch. If you carry a laptop, we suggest a sleeve to protect the lining and leather.

Q: How is this studded caviar version different from canvas Deauvilles?
A: Caviar leather is a grained calfskin that is more structured and generally more scratch-resistant than canvas. It feels sturdier and a touch heavier, offering a dressier look while still functioning as an everyday tote.

Q: Does it have both top handles and shoulder straps?
A: Yes. This model features dual top handles for hand carry and dual chain‑and‑leather shoulder straps for over‑the‑shoulder wear. The straps are fixed (not removable) and the drop is approximately 24 cm for comfortable shoulder carry.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The Deauville is an open‑top tote with a magnetic snap closure for quick access. For added privacy or organisation, many owners use a bag organiser with a zip compartment.

Q: Does the bag have base feet?
A: No, Deauville totes typically do not have metal feet. We recommend placing it on clean, dry surfaces and using a protective base insert if desired.

Q: Any care tips for caviar leather and the gold‑tone studs?
A: Wipe the leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth and let it air dry; avoid harsh cleaners and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture. To protect the studs, avoid abrasive contact and perfumes; store the bag lightly stuffed in its dust bag to maintain shape and reduce pressure on the hardware.

Q: Is the leather Deauville heavy to carry?
A: The caviar leather version is a bit heavier than canvas but remains comfortable for daily use thanks to the wide chain‑and‑leather straps and balanced shape. Weight will depend on what you carry.

Q: What year is this piece from?
A: The serial number 26667957 places it in the 26‑series, indicating production in approximately 2018–2019.
