Q: What size is this Chanel CC Elementary Chic Flap Bag?
A: This bag measures approximately 27 cm wide, 20 cm high and 8 cm deep. The strap drop is approximately 26/47 cm, giving you the option to wear it shorter on the shoulder or longer for a more relaxed fit. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact dimensions.

Q: What typically fits inside this bag?
A: With its medium everyday proportions, this bag is well suited to daily essentials such as a phone, card holder or compact wallet, keys, sunglasses, and a few small cosmetics. Capacity will vary depending on the shape of your items, but it is designed for essentials rather than bulky belongings.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: The longer strap drop is approximately 47 cm. Depending on your height and preferred fit, that may sit as a long shoulder carry or a shorter crossbody style. We recommend comparing the strap measurement with a bag you already own to judge the fit more accurately.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This piece is rated Very Good Condition. There are minor signs of wear on the corners and leather strap, light traces of use inside, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches. Please review all product images carefully for the best visual impression of its current condition.

Q: Is this bag authentic?
A: Every item sold by A Retro Tale is carefully vetted for authenticity by specialists. For this bag, the listed serial number tag corresponds to a 2017-era Chanel piece, which is consistent with the product information provided. As with all pre-owned Chanel bags, authentication is assessed through a combination of details rather than one feature alone.

Q: What does the serial number indicate?
A: The serial number information shows this bag as a 2017 piece. For Chanel bags from this period, serial number tags are an expected feature and are commonly used as one of several indicators when assessing age and authenticity.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: This item includes the serial number tag. Everything that comes with the bag is listed in the product information section. If something is not listed there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How should I care for this Chanel flap bag?
A: To help preserve the bag, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid overfilling it, keep it lightly stuffed when not in use to help maintain its shape, and wipe the surface gently with a soft, dry cloth. Because this is a pre-owned leather bag, extra care around corners, strap areas and hardware is recommended.

Q: Is light wear on the corners and strap normal for a pre-owned Chanel bag?
A: Yes. Gentle rubbing on corners, slight strap wear, and fine hardware scratches are all common signs of careful prior use on vintage and second-hand Chanel bags. This bag remains in Very Good Condition overall, which means it presents well while still showing honest wear consistent with age and use.
