Q: What size is this bag and what typically fits inside?
A: This bag measures approximately 24 x 19 x 8 cm. It is best suited to daily essentials such as a phone, a small wallet or card holder, keys, lipstick and other compact items. It is not large enough for a tablet or laptop. Capacity can vary slightly depending on how you pack, so please refer to the measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this Chanel Coco Mark Suede Bag be worn crossbody?
A: No. This piece is designed with a single flat top handle, and no shoulder strap is listed in the product information. It is therefore best treated as a handheld style rather than a crossbody bag.

Q: What are the interior features of this bag?
A: The bag has a tonal leather lining, one internal pocket and a zip closure. This gives you a compact but practical interior for organising smaller essentials.

Q: What does the serial number indicate?
A: The serial number begins with 5, which corresponds to Chanel bags produced roughly between 1997 and 1999. As with all vintage Chanel pieces, the serial number helps date the bag, but it should be considered alongside the bag’s overall construction, materials and hardware when assessing authenticity.

Q: Is suede a delicate material, and how should I care for it?
A: Yes. Suede is softer and more porous than smooth leather, so it benefits from gentle handling. Keep the bag away from heavy rain, oils and dark fabrics that may transfer colour. Use a suede brush lightly, store it stuffed to help maintain its shape, and keep it in a breathable dust bag away from direct sunlight and humidity.

Q: What condition is this vintage bag in?
A: The exterior is described as good with light trace of use, the interior is in good condition with light trace of use, and the gunmetal hardware remains shiny with light scratches. In short, it presents well overall while still showing the gentle signs of age expected from a vintage Chanel piece.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: The product information notes a serial number. If an item such as an authenticity card, box or dust bag is not separately listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: How is a vintage Chanel bag like this usually authenticated?
A: Authentication typically involves checking the serial sticker era, materials, stitching, hardware, interior details and overall consistency of the bag. A serial number is useful for dating, but it should never be the only factor considered when evaluating authenticity.
