ChanelMini Rectangular Patent Flap Bag

Q: What fits inside this Chanel Mini Rectangular Patent Flap Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 20 x 13 x 6 cm, this mini bag is best suited to small daily essentials such as a phone, card holder, keys, lipstick, and other slim items. A full-sized wallet or bulkier items may be too large, so we recommend checking the Measurements on this page against what you usually carry.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: Yes, many people wear the Chanel Mini Rectangular Flap as either a shoulder bag or crossbody. For this specific item, the strap drop is approximately 56 cm, so the fit will depend on your height and preferred styling.

Q: Is patent leather delicate?
A: Patent leather has a glossy finish and a polished look, but it does require thoughtful handling. It can be more prone to colour transfer, surface marks, and changes in shine over time than some grained leathers, so it is best treated as a more delicate finish.

Q: How should I care for this patent leather bag?
A: Store it upright in a dust bag or protective pouch, lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape. Avoid prolonged contact with dark fabrics, direct sunlight, humidity, perfume, makeup, and harsh cleaning products. If needed, gently wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid rubbing too hard.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: According to the current product information, the bag is in very good condition with light traces of use. The exterior and interior are both noted as very good with light trace of use, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This item includes a serial number tag. Everything included with the bag is listed in the product information; if something is not mentioned there, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: When was this bag made?
A: The serial number listed in the product information is 16******, which dates this bag to 2012. This helps place the piece within Chanel’s earlier serial-sticker era of production.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The product information lists France as the country of origin.

Q: Is the Mini Rectangular a practical everyday size?
A: It can be practical if you prefer travelling light. Buyers often choose this shape because it is compact, elegant, and easier to wear casually than larger flap bags, but it is best for essentials rather than all-day carry of larger personal items.
