Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel Card Holder on Chain?
A: With compact dimensions of approximately 11 × 9 × 2 cm, it is designed for essentials: 4–6 cards, folded notes, a key fob or house key, and a slim lipstick or AirPods case. It is a micro bag built around card organisation rather than a full wallet or phone.

Q: Will it fit a smartphone?
A: No. Given the width and height, most smartphones are too large for this style. Consider a Wallet on Chain or phone holder if carrying a phone inside is essential.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody and is the strap adjustable?
A: Yes, it can be worn on the shoulder or crossbody. The strap drop is approximately 58 cm on this piece. The chain is fixed-length and not adjustable or detachable.

Q: Are the oversized pearls on the strap removable, and how should I care for them?
A: The pearls are decorative and fixed in place. Avoid bumps, perfume, make-up and lotions, and wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear. When storing, wrap the chain to prevent imprints on the leather and keep the bag in a breathable pouch, away from direct light and humidity.

Q: How does this compare to a classic Wallet on Chain (WOC)?
A: The Card Holder on Chain is a smaller, micro alternative to the WOC. It prioritises cards and a few small extras, whereas the WOC offers more interior capacity and pockets. If you need to carry a phone inside, the WOC is the better choice; if you want the lightest, minimalist option, this micro format excels.

Q: What does the serial number starting with 31****** indicate?
A: A 31-series number dates the piece to 2021. Around 2021 Chanel transitioned from serial stickers and separate authenticity cards to a metal plate with an embedded microchip. Some early-2021 items may still have a sticker/card, while later ones carry the plate. This item’s number confirms 2021 production.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under the product information on this page. For this piece, a serial number tag is included. If an item such as a dust bag, box or authenticity card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: Where was this piece made?
A: This item is stamped Made in Italy. Chanel small leather goods are produced in France, Italy and Spain depending on the model and season.

Q: How should I care for the lambskin leather?
A: Wipe with a soft cloth only and avoid harsh cleaners. Keep away from prolonged sunlight, humidity and oils, and do not overfill to preserve the quilting and flap alignment. Store upright in a pouch, with the chain wrapped to avoid marks.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The flap secures with a press-stud. It is designed to close cleanly when the bag is not overfilled; avoid forcing the stud if the interior is packed, as this can strain the leather and hardware.
