Q: What typically fits inside the Chanel Rodeo Drive Hobo Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 32 × 28 × 10 cm, it comfortably holds a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, a small make-up pouch, a 500 ml bottle, and a tablet. Slim organisers work well to keep items upright and make the most of the curved top opening.

Q: Will it fit a 13-inch laptop or iPad Pro?
A: Slim 13-inch laptops and large tablets generally fit within these dimensions. For peace of mind, use a protective sleeve and avoid overfilling, as the hobo’s soft shape and curved opening can reduce usable space slightly.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: This model is designed for hand and shoulder carry. It features chunky chain handles and a flat leather shoulder strap; the drop is not intended for crossbody wear.

Q: What is the closure and pocket layout on this piece?
A: This specific bag has a satin-lined interior with a key leash and one external zip pocket for quick-access essentials. Across the Rodeo Drive line you’ll see both magnetic-snap and zip-top variants; this can vary by size and season.

Q: What production year corresponds to the serial number 12180560?
A: Chanel serial numbers starting with 12 indicate production around 2008–2009, which aligns with the Rodeo Drive line’s late-2000s releases.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This piece comes with a dust bag, authenticity card, and serial number tag. Everything included is always listed under Accessories on this page; if it isn’t listed, it isn’t included.

Q: How should I care for the leather and hardware?
A: Wipe the leather gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh cleaners or excessive moisture. Keep the bag away from prolonged sunlight and humidity. When storing, wrap chains/strap in tissue to prevent imprints, lightly stuff the bag to hold its shape, and place it in a breathable dust bag. For light marks on lambskin, a gentle circular rub can help; for other leathers, simply wipe and allow to air dry naturally.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi-point inspection of materials, stitching, stamps, hardware, and interior serial sticker, and we verify that the serial number corresponds with the authenticity card. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can share additional photos or details on request.

Q: Are there different versions of the Rodeo Drive Hobo?
A: Yes. The line was issued in several finishes (e.g. smooth or aged calfskin, lambskin, patent, perforated) with either gold- or silver-tone hardware, and in variants featuring magnetic-snap or zip closures. This particular piece is black leather with gold-tone hardware and a champagne satin lining.
