Q: What are the dimensions and what does it fit?
A: This Baguette measures approximately 27 × 15 × 4.5 cm. It comfortably holds a smartphone, a compact or standard bifold wallet, keys, and a few small extras (lipstick, hand sanitiser, cardholder). Capacity is slim due to the 4.5 cm depth, so bulky cases or water bottles will not fit. Contemporary medium Baguettes are designed to hold a 6.7-inch phone and a large wallet; use this as a guide and refer to our Measurements for this exact piece.

Q: Is this the classic medium/original size?
A: Yes. With a width around 26–27 cm and a height around 15 cm, this aligns with the iconic medium (original) Baguette silhouette first introduced in 1997. Our piece measures 27 × 15 × 4.5 cm.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: This vintage example is listed with a single adjustable shoulder strap (approximate drop 18 cm) and is best worn on the shoulder or by hand. Contemporary versions often include a longer strap for crossbody wear, but this listing does not include a long strap—please see Product information for what is included.

Q: How does the bag close and is it practical for daily use?
A: It features a magnetic flap with the FF logo clasp. The magnet provides quick, easy access while keeping the flap neatly in place for day-to-day use.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: The interior has a pink fabric lining with one zipped pocket for small essentials. The main compartment suits a phone, small wallet, and daily basics.

Q: How should I care for the embossed Nappa leather?
A: Wipe gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth after use. For deeper care, use a cleaner and conditioner formulated for Nappa/smooth calf leathers, applied sparingly. Avoid harsh chemicals, over-conditioning, and prolonged exposure to rain, heat, or direct sunlight. Store stuffed to maintain shape, in a breathable dust bag, with the chain/hardware wrapped to prevent rubbing.

Q: Does this bag have a serial number or date code?
A: Many Fendi bags from the 1980s onwards include a serial number on an interior tag or seam, but its presence can fade with wear and is not the sole proof of authenticity. This listing does not show a serial number entry. If you’d like us to check for any interior markings, please ask.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed under Product information on this page. If an item (such as a dust bag or extra strap) is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every piece at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi‑point inspection by our in‑house experts, including materials, stitching, hardware, stamps/markings, and construction. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and can provide additional photos or details on request.
