FendiZucchino Shoulder Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Fendi Zucchino Shoulder Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 28 × 18 × 5 cm, it comfortably holds a smartphone, compact wallet, keys, sunglasses in a soft case and a small cosmetics pouch. A slim 7–8 inch tablet may fit, but A4 documents and laptops will not. Capacity varies with how you pack—please refer to the Measurements for exact sizing.

Q: Is the strap adjustable and can it be worn crossbody?
A: It has a single flat, adjustable shoulder strap with an approximate 24 cm drop. It is designed for shoulder carry and typically sits high under the arm; it is not intended for crossbody wear.

Q: What does “Zucchino” mean on Fendi bags?
A: Zucchino refers to the small-scale FF monogram pattern—a more compact version of the classic Zucca/FF print. It describes the logo size rather than the material of the bag.

Q: Is the magnetic flap closure safe for credit cards and phones?
A: The closure uses a low-strength magnet. Modern EMV chip cards and smartphones are generally unaffected in normal use. To be cautious, avoid pressing older magnetic‑stripe cards (like some hotel keys) directly against the magnet and keep sensitive items inside the interior pocket.

Q: Is this considered vintage and what era is it from?
A: Zucchino shoulder bags are closely associated with the late 1990s to early 2000s era, so this piece is considered vintage accordingly.

Q: What authenticity markers should I expect on a vintage Fendi bag?
A: Many vintage Fendi bags have a serial number (often 15–17 characters) on or behind an interior leather tag. From around 2004 to 2010, Fendi added hologram stickers; from about 2010 onward, they moved to RFID fabric tags. Depending on age, an RFID tag may not be present. Pattern alignment, stitching quality and correctly engraved hardware are also key checkpoints. Every item at A Retro Tale is thoroughly examined by our in‑house experts before listing.

Q: What is the exterior made of and how should I care for it?
A: The exterior is a jacquard canvas with black leather trim. Avoid heavy rain and potential colour transfer. Gently dust and spot clean the canvas with a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid harsh chemicals or soaking. Condition the leather trim sparingly with a suitable leather conditioner. Store the bag stuffed in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight.

Q: How do I clean the dark blue satin lining safely?
A: Empty the bag and, if possible, pull the lining out gently. Spot clean with a soft cloth dampened with cool water and a drop of mild soap, blotting rather than rubbing. Allow to air‑dry completely before use. For persistent marks, consult a professional handbag cleaner.

Q: What accessories are included with this item?
A: This piece is listed as coming with no accessories. Everything included is stated in the Accessories section; if an item such as a dust bag or authenticity card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How would you describe the condition in person?
A: Very good overall: light wear at the leather trim, a clean interior with light signs of use, and silver‑tone hardware that remains shiny with minor surface scratches. Please review the photos for the best sense of wear and colour.
