Q: What does Gucci size 90 mean on this belt?
A: On Gucci Double G belts, the size usually refers to the distance in centimetres from the outer edge of the buckle to the centre hole. Size 90 is best compared with your own waist or hip measurement at the point where you plan to wear it. As a rough guide, Gucci’s chart places size 90 around a women’s UK 12 or jeans 30, or a men’s waist 32, but fit varies depending on styling.

Q: Can this belt be worn on the waist or the hips?
A: Yes. GG Marmont belts are commonly worn either at the natural waist or lower on the hips. Keep in mind that the same size will feel different depending on placement, so size 90 may fit differently over dresses, high-rise trousers or low-rise jeans.

Q: How wide is this GG Marmont belt?
A: This piece is approximately 3 cm wide. That gives it a slimmer, versatile look than Gucci’s wider statement belts, making it easy to style with both casual and smarter outfits.

Q: Will the 3 cm width fit through standard trouser or jean loops?
A: In most cases, yes. A 3 cm strap usually fits standard jean and trouser belt loops more easily than wider belts, although very narrow or decorative loops can still vary by garment.

Q: What condition is this vintage belt in?
A: This item is listed in Very Good condition, with light traces of use to the leather and light scratches to the hardware. As a vintage piece, gentle signs of wear are normal and part of its character.

Q: Does it come with the original box or dust bag?
A: No additional items are included with this belt. Everything that comes with it is stated in the product information on this page.

Q: How should I care for the leather and hardware?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth after use and keep it away from prolonged direct light, heat and rain. Store it flat or loosely rolled in a dry place, and avoid heavy pressure on the buckle area to help preserve the leather and finish.

Q: Can extra holes be added if the fit is slightly off?
A: Usually yes, but it is best done by a professional leather specialist or trusted cobbler so the spacing and finish stay neat. For a vintage designer belt, avoiding DIY tools is the safest option.

Q: Is this belt authenticated?
A: Yes. A Retro Tale states that every item is carefully reviewed by in-house experts, and this belt is sold as an authentic Gucci vintage piece.
