Q: What fits inside this bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 32 × 23 × 10 cm and a 21 cm strap drop, it comfortably holds a smartphone, long wallet, keys, sunglasses, a small makeup pouch, and a compact notebook or small tablet. For exact fit, please compare your items to the listed measurements.

Q: Can I wear this New Jackie crossbody?
A: This specific piece has a single adjustable shoulder strap and is intended for shoulder carry. Later Jackie 1961 versions often include a detachable longer strap for crossbody wear, which this piece does not include. Q: How does the piston lock work, and is it secure?
A: The front piston lock opens by pressing to release and closes when aligned and pushed until it clicks. The piston closure is a signature hallmark of the Jackie line dating back to the 1960s and was revived in subsequent reissues. Q: How should I care for the suede and leather trim?
A: Gently brush suede with a dedicated suede brush to lift the nap and remove surface dust. Use a suede protector spray periodically, avoid water and oils, and wipe leather trim with a soft cloth. Store away from heat and humidity, loosely stuffed to maintain shape. For material-specific guidance, consult recognised care best practices. Q: Will black suede cause or pick up colour transfer?
A: Suede dyes can migrate with friction, moisture and heat. Dark suede may transfer onto light fabrics, and new denim or dark garments can transfer onto suede. Minimise risk by protecting the suede, keeping it dry, and avoiding prolonged contact with abrasive or dye-rich materials. Q: What is the interior like?
A: It features orange leather lining with one internal zipped pocket, providing tidy storage for small essentials.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included is listed in the product information. This piece is sold without additional items beyond what is photographed and described there.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale undergoes a multi-point authentication by our in-house experts, assessing materials, stitching, hardware, stamps and style codes. Many Gucci bags feature a two-row numerical style code inside; this is not a date code and, on its own, is not proof of authenticity. Q: Which era does this design belong to?
A: The “New Jackie” line was introduced under Frida Giannini around 2009, drawing on the original Jackie’s crescent shape and piston lock. Your piece shows characteristic details from that generation. ([collections.vam.ac.uk](https://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O1282942/new-jackie-handbag-gucci/))

Q: Any storage tips for long-term care?
A: Store the bag in a breathable dust bag, loosely stuffed to support its shape. Keep the piston lock closed when stored, avoid direct sunlight and humidity, and do not hang the bag by its strap for prolonged periods. ([gucci.com](https://www.gucci.com/us/en/nst/handbags-care-guide))
