Q: What does size 75 mean on this Hermès belt?
A: Size 75 refers to the belt measurement in centimetres to the hole it is designed to fit best. For Hermès belts, this generally suits a waist or belt-wearing point of about 75 cm. If you usually wear belts higher on the waist or lower on the hips, fit may vary.

Q: How can I check whether this belt will fit me?
A: The best method is to measure a belt you already wear comfortably, from the base of the buckle tongue to the hole you use most, then compare that measurement to 75 cm. You can also measure around your waist or hips depending on where you plan to wear it.

Q: Is this belt reversible?
A: Yes, this is a Hermès Reversible H Belt, so it is designed to be worn on either side. Reversible Hermès belts are made so the strap can be turned to show a different face, giving you two styling options in one belt.

Q: How wide is this belt?
A: The width of this belt is 3 cm. That makes it a versatile size that works well with many trousers, jeans and dresses, but it is always worth checking your belt loops if you plan to wear it with fitted tailoring.

Q: What colour is this item?
A: The listed product colour is Black. As this is a reversible belt, the reverse side may differ, but the authoritative product information for this listing states Black.

Q: What condition is this belt in?
A: This item is listed in Very Good condition, with light traces of use. The leather shows light wear, and the hardware is shiny with light scratches, which is consistent with careful previous use.

Q: What is included with the belt?
A: According to the product information, this item comes with no accessories. If an original box, dust bag or other extras are not listed in the product information, they are not included with this piece.

Q: What does the serial stamp Square B (1998) mean?
A: The serial stamp indicates the production year. For this belt, Square B corresponds to 1998, placing it in the vintage Hermès period and adding to its collector appeal.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Hermès leather belt?
A: Store it in a dry place away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. After wear, wipe it gently with a soft, lint-free cloth and avoid perfume, oils, alcohol-based products and prolonged contact with water. For best long-term care, avoid harsh leather products and handle the buckle carefully to minimise scratches.

Q: How is this Hermès belt authenticated?
A: At A Retro Tale, all items are carefully checked for authenticity before being offered for sale. For Hermès belts, this typically includes reviewing the leather quality, construction, hardware, stamping and overall consistency with the model and production period.
